@hiberg - fancy subbing in for a race for Bladecruiser, driving the experimental and downgraded Obey 9F?

Just to reiterate for the drivers:

Pits

3 x pitstops for Fever Pitch; 2 x for Spa Short.

I strongly recommend you include pit stops in your practice laps. Both pits are not super mega hyper fast, so you will need to know them intimately in order to avoid needing tissues for the issues you'll have. Also, don't try and enter the Fever Pitch pits from the highway offramps. That way is folly.

Qualifying

Hostmaster Extreme Oh_Darn will host a 3 lap non-contact session around Fever Pitch. Lap 1 - everyone heads to the pits. Darn releases you. If he gives you a time and you don't go, you're just stuffing everyone else up so please pay attention.

Lap 2 - hotlap - set your time.

Lap 3 - return to the pits. Please don't just head on to get over the line first (ahem cloudmcshort). If anyone is out of the pits before we release you, that's a paddlin' grid penalty.

Pre-race shenanigans

Before and after qualifying there's some downtime, as there is between race 1 and 2 whilst we collate information etc. @pezby is the appointed Regimental Sergeant Major. In the event of dicking around, killing each other, destroying vehicles, I have given Pez the authority to hand out a paddlin' 5 place grid penalties for misdemeanours. The cocking about slows down the event and is very wicked, like masturbating to picture of Satan or the Pope.

Safety car

endersai will call this out. And refer to himself in the third person. And tag himself. Bloody Australians.

Respawning

Should you need to respawn you need to call it out on TS with your position on track at the time. That way people know what to expect when you pop back in.

i.e. to avoid the middle of checkpoints.

Talking on TS

Unless relevant, it's distracting when race officials can't be heard. So unless there's a reason to speak - e.g. calling out pits - don't.

In other words:

Waiting

If someone says "you hit me", you wait. I don't want to hear the following, as they will lead to black flags :
- "No"
- "Didn't touch on my screen"

The Nodo rules on this provide for what to do to avoid any doubt - wait. Lag takeouts are frustrating but you need to know who is going to have variable latency because of location and factor that in when passing. And if they say you took me out, you kinda have to wait. Even if you didn't on your screen - because on theirs, you did, and being cognisant of latency related hit boxes is your responsibility too.

The Comet

Man, I took the Carbo and Surano around Fever Pitch and they get no response to the bumps on the freeway where the Comet is just ba-doonk, ba-doonk in the suspension and SO MUCH CAEK.

i'm scared that i'll unconciously try to curb boost when i drive a car for first time irl
So how will the calling out safety car work? People will call for safety car by themselves for sure so are we supposed to keep driving until you confirm it? If that's the case, please make sure to speak really clearly, it's sometimes hard to hear things like where we restart or when we restart or if there's a safety car or not when there's 5 people speaking (which is usually the case after a crash that involves a lot of cars)
edit: might also want to decide before the races where we restart the race after sc so we don't have such confusion like we did on zancudo where madde misunderstood because you changed your mind on where to resume the race.

So we're not doing the thing where we use a certain spot where where you can resume race again, right?
edit: the sultan really suffered from it when we resumed it on start of a straight anyways so i welcome this change.
