"Atomic Tire has sent out a press release this morning announcing the formation of a brand new racing series in San Andreas. From the release: The 2016 GRAND-AM MUSCLE SERIES presented by ATOMIC TIRE will feature legendary vehicles from America's past making a triumphant return to center stage. Drivers from all over the world are invited to participate, and encouraged to take in the sights and experiences of visiting the historic race courses that the series will be stopping at over it's inaugural season."



Event Information and Rules

Conduct & General Rules : See nodo.freeforums.net/thread/3455/nodo-racing-guidelines for general purpose rules concerns. Track boundaries are fully open to whatever is able to be accomplished within each chosen track. Off road, on road, so long as you are not causing accidents with other racers, any line is a valid line (ovivo lines and pyro lines encouraged). Unless otherwise called out below, the NoDo guidelines will be enforced.

Blue Flags : You are allowed to defend your position from any approaching vehicle, even if it is a driver that is coming up to lap you. You must still adhere to the general NoDo racing guidlines while defending, but you do NOT have to move out of the way to give space to lapping traffic. This encourages battling with people you might not get to battle with due to pace differences, and will play a major part in team strategy throughout the series.

Event Dates : Sundays - Feb 14, Feb 21, Feb 28, March 6

Event Start & Duration : 8pm UTC, lasting approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

Maximum Entrants : 24/24 (FULL! Still accepting reserves!) + pit watcher ( .fiyah )

Time / Weather : Current for both unless otherwise noted with race day description.

Car Restrictions : Drivers may choose one of the following as their car to drive during the entirety of the series. Cars are limited on the field up to a maximum of 10 for each.

Imponte Phoenix (10/10) FILLED
DeClasse Stallion (9/10)
DeClasse Tampa (5/10)

Wheels / Tires : MUSCLE wheels only, must use custom tires visual upgrade to feature ATOMIC DRAG RADIAL text as mandatory endorsement.

Upgrades & Visuals : All other upgrades and visuals may be used at each driver's discresion.

Teams & Sponsors : Drivers form teams of 2, and must have a sponsor from the list of major businesses within the GTA Universe ( gta.wikia.com/wiki/Businesses_in_GTA_V ). Sponsors may NOT be from the "Vehicle Manufacturers" list, but may be from any other on that page. Air and boat vehicle manufacturers are allowed, but other land vehicle manufacturers are banned.

Team Colors : Primary colors cannot be shared between teams, and must be unique enough to tell the teams apart at a glance. Once chosen, the colors may NOT be changed during the season.

Team Car Choice : Drivers are not required to have matching cars for both members of the team, they have chosen whichever car they wish to drive. Car choice is locked in for the whole of the series.

Scoring : Points are awarded per race, and go towards both driver and team championship standings.

Starting Procedure & Grid : The first day's first starting grid will be randomized, and each race after that will use a reverse grid of the previous race's finish positions. Each day's starting procedure will be described below along with the track listing.

Event Days & Tracks : The following list of tracks will be used once each over the duration of the event. Two days of the event will feature one track and last for approximately 1.5 hours as an endurance race on that single track. The other two days will feature a pair of tracks with a race time of 40 minutes on each with a 10 to 15 minute break between races.

Feb 14 - The Glen & 2016 SATCC Zan-Cudochamps - Formation lap and rolling start, announced by pit watcher after clearing the track.

Feb 21 - Seed Circuit - Standing grid with sticky start.

Feb 28 - Olympic Grand Prix - Formation lap and rolling start, announced by pit watcher after clearing the track.

Mar 6 - Parson's Tour & Maze Bank Ring 300 - Standing grid with sticky start on Parson's, and formation lap with rolling start on Maze Bank Ring 300. Weather for Parson's Tour will be Raining, and Maze Bank Ring will be Clear. Time for both will be Current.
