Is there anyone recording shots this season? Just wondering as I believe it was amazing last season as a spectator Seconded. Shaggy's cameraman skills brought the production level of the videos to a whole new level. This season everyone can do it themselves though thx to the R* Editor... Even better angles, moving shots, and no sitting through 3 minutes of Shaggycam to find the 5 seconds where he's passing through the shot himself, only to sit through another 3 minutes to find the next I think having a race marshall if someone volunteers wouldn't be a terrible idea though, and maybe even introduce a few mandatory pit stops to make things more interesting.

Quick question, will we be able to choose the company of are team or will we just be put into them using last years companies? Just because I will not be able to make it to the Wednesday stream as I am on holiday. Will the spreadsheet be updated so I can check who are my team mates? Thanks.

You will also be able find out your teammates on the spreadsheet after the stream or just watch the VOD of the stream if it won't be updated by then. If anything I said is incorrect someone correct me please.

The possibility of me probably getting into gt1 if i didn't need to pull out as made me more upset seeing the final entry list haha. Great entry list for all gt classes though good luck everyone!

Tbh, if your recording something longer than 2 minutes, the rockstar editor isn't very reliable as I always have a clip saving for 5 minutes and then can't stop or cancel a recording, plus having that appear at the bottom of your screen could be distracting to some players. Personally I prefer Shaggy shots from season 2. Though R* editor would be unique for race starts. After that it's just a pain to turn it off

After that it's just a pain to turn it off Depending on how much effort you want to put into your shots after the events, R* editor is amazing. Look at any of DrKloden's videos from the PC event threads and you'll see some of the possibilities the editor can open up when combining with other capture/edit software.

After that it's just a pain to turn it off You just switch it on during certain parts of the race to record the next 2 minutes, to get some nice shots. It's the same thing Shaggy did essentially. But you're more in control of angles and such this way.

On the whole issue of recording (PS4):
- Make sure that you record all your footage with the share button by double tapping it. Set your preferences so that a single click takes a screenshot so that you don't accidentally open the Share Menu mid-race. What will happen is just before the grid you double tap share and it will begin recording, then around 15min into the race it will say video clip saved so double tap it again, make sure you don't double tap again until you see that it has saved. - When you're recording make sure you have just the raw footage to send to Broughy without commentary, voices from people in the lobby, music or Rockstar Editor footage. - If you upload all 15 minute parts as private you can then put them all together in the YouTube video editor and then upload all the parts together in 1 video as Public and send the link to Broughy via PM (this will make it much easier for Broughy when he's doing the highlights to find certain parts of the race from your footage).

I have to ask more about how reserves are going to work. Apologies if this has been brought up, but I couldn't find it in this thread. If I'm a reserve, how soon will I be notified that I have to race? Will I need to buy up the cars beforehand, or will I have time to buy the car and upgrade before the race? I see I might be notified as late as 30 minutes before the race, and I don't know what the recommended practice here would be. You'll be notified beforehand. You'll have to time to buy and mod up the car but you will have to do that, you can't use another one from another driver in class.

I love being an event host. It's the best. "Hey look I know you're organising it and stuff, and that I didn't decide to host my own event; but I've written a BRD for you that will allow you to add a number of features which uniquely benefit me (possibly to the exclusion of all others) as well as removing things which I personally do not like."
Not that this has happened on each of the 12 pages of discussion so far though. You guys are fine, it's in other threads.
Oh. Hey. MCEC S3. Interesting.

I think I have to remove myself from list. Technically I could make it to the 2nd race, but I'll just arrive two hours earlier straight from New Zealand... I'm sad.

In my opinion, you should still be in. It would be a shame if the S2 GT1 Champion would miss. Just took a reserve for 1st race and hurry up for the 2nd
