Progen Racing Team - SAGTC Season 6 - Round One UpdateRace 1 - Parson's LoopOh_Darn: P5 Cloudmcshort: P10 A solid opening to the season saw both our drivers scoring points, coming through the field from starting at the back. Our goal, based on the layout of that grid, was a P5 and P6 finish for the team. We were on track for this but contact with Weston driver Divait and cloud put cloud back down the order and P10 was the best we could salvage. The upside to this however was a strong starting position for Race 3, Laguna Seca, for cloud. Race 2 - Montreal Oh_Darn: P2 Cloudmcshort: P1 Before the race, we told the drivers we expected a P1-P2 finish for the team, and how we intended to achieve that. An early inconvenience to this was that we did not pass the Pride Brew Banshee of Obihoernchen on the first lap as expected, and had to quickly move to strategy plan B for the race. The first round of pits saw Cloud in on Lap 6, Darn on Lap 7 and both drivers undercut the Pride Brew car. From there on, Progen were effective race leaders until the end when Cloud crossed the line for his first SAGTC victory. Oh_Darn currently leads the drivers standings, whilst Progen are in P2 in the constructors. Team principal Endersai had this to say: "I'm immensely proud of both drivers over this weekend. Oh_Darn's efforts at a second championship are well underway, and we told cloud we'd help him get that first win which we felt he was capable of. He drove faultlessly, and has more wins in him I'm sure. Strategy paid off today on both races, and whilst it was disappointing about the contact with Divait we can salvage it at Laguna Seca with P3 on the grid. I think we're capable of a win there, for sure, and we'll be aiming for another double podium. Having reviewed onboard footage from the Grotti drivers, it's clear their results were down very much to bad luck in the early stages of the race and I think had they not had these issues they'd have been challenging for podiums and wins very easily. I think they're going to be strong at both tracks and our goal is to ensure we take the fight to them and maximise our points at both races. I think I speak for everyone when I say we all want to see Oh_Darn, fab.ICEMAN and OvivoJR all battling on track this season."

Progen Racing Team - SAGTC S6 Round 2 update
Race 3 - Annis' Laguna Seca
Oh_DarnGrid: P8 Finish: P1 cloudmcshortGrid: P3 Finish: P7 A solid race result for Progen, where a confident Oh_Darn took the chequered flag in a damaged Progen Benefactor Surano. From the start Darn made early gains, following Cloud up until he ran in P3. Early pit calls for the team saw the drivers running their stints mostly in clean air as they watched their rivals react to strategy. Cloud, struggling with a lack of rear grip, fell back on pace but Oh_Darn built a commanding lead until the third stint when, coming into Turn 1, his cold tyres locked up and he made contact with the wall. Despite a loss of front aero, costing nearly a second per lap, Darn masterfully held off Overflod driver Zenvohh's Comet in his wounded Surano, for his first victory of the season. McKenzie Deluxe
OhDarnGrid: P11 Finish: P5 cloudmcshortGrid: P12 Finish: P10 McKenzie would always provide a struggle for the team, with the Benefactor engine being slightly down on power relative to the engines of other suppliers like Pfister and Grotti. Strategy proved complex here, as the team did not have any clear air windows and had to risk pitting the cars close to traffic. Stints 1 and 2 paid off for the Darn, as did Stint 1 for Cloud; but both cars found themselves stuck behind the Comet of Michiski22 at crucial stages of the race, which hampered their progress. "For sure, with the hint of a podium, this was a hard race for us to accept P5 on. I feel like we got the maximum out of the car until after the final stop, when we ended up behind Mich and couldn't go attack third place." said Darn afterwards. Team Principal's view"We bagged a good haul of points on what was a bittersweet weekend. Darn's main rivals for driver's champions have been off to a slow start this season: Ovivo's luck has been quite unbelievably bad, and his results are all salvaged from disaster; fab.ICEMAN is just starting to come to life with a well deserved win at McKenzie, and Serenniel had technical issues slowing her up. A win, therefore, was a good boost for the team but it's unfortunate we had only wrong calls available strategy wise at McKenzie. P3 was possibly achievable, but P5 is still a good result given the strength of the other cars. I don't know how the same driver ended up exactly in our window lap after lap, but when we called the guys in they seemed to respond with a half second push that made all the difference. Anyway, moving on. We've upgraded our comms package ahead of the Round 3 races and so we should be in a position to bring home some more podiums for the team."

Progen celebrate mid-season positions in Formula 1 and sports car racingLOS SANTOS, SA: Progen Racing Team issued a statement from team principal Endersai: "As the current Formula 1 and GT racing series take a well earned mid-season break, I want to take time to celebrate the results. arken leads the Formula 1 championship after a commanding series of wins. Oh_Darn leads the San Andreas GT Championship with cloudmcshort in third; and Progen is leading the constructor's fight. We are working overtime to sort out the technical issues in Madderose's car and expect that in the second half of the season he will return to his natural form at the front of the grid. Progen's renewed results are possible thanks to the professionalism of our staff, the dedication and raw talent of our drivers, and the financial backing that so many T20s, Italis and Tyrus' brings. So if you are a Progen supporter, please go out and buy another Itali GTB to show it!"

endersai I would like to join your racing team. I'll be honest with you i'm not good anymore. After a full year away from the gta5 racing scene, I have become very rusty. I hope Progen would consider my request to join. I could be a test driver as well for you anything to do and to work myself up in the standings. I would like to thank you for considering. Sincerely, Canadian Bacon

Oh_Darn, Cloudmcshort contracts not renewed
Progen confirms that SAGTC drivers Oh_Darn and Cloudmcshort have not been renewed for a second season with the team.
Team principal Endersai said: "We had a one season deal with Cloud, and he indicated his preference to drive for a different team in the seventh season of SAGTC. We had a great season driving with him, and are immensely proud of what we achieved together.
We intended to pick up the option for a second season with Oh_Darn, however it became apparent that there were a number of factors working against this. For one, there was a public perception question, and secondly, we found that Oh_Darn had made some demands we just could not meet. He wanted the team to purchase the La Fuente Blanca horse ranch from Los Santos businessman Martin Madrazo; he wanted a golden jet with full crew, funded by the ream; , and he wanted his personal bodyguards from Merriweather to be given managerial roles at Progen.
Sadly for us, the parties could not agree on a pathway forward and we elected, in the end, to release Oh_Darn from the team. We wish him well at Merriweather in the future.
Two new drivers have been scouted and contracts are being drawn up as we speak."

Progen confirm Season 7 GT drivers, car
Los Santos, SA - Progen today confirmed via press release that for the upcoming seventh season of grand tourer racing, it will enter the competition as a factory team, driving an orange-and-black Itali GTB. "We have run the T20 in some one-off events in the past, but this will be our first season as a competitor where we're not buying components from others but building the entire package from the ground up." said team principal Endersai at the event. "The car is a thing of beauty, and will be keenly looking to take the fight to any other factory and customer teams out there, including our rivals at Grotti." Driving the car will be a brand new line-up. Endersai explained it as follows: "Progen has always had top tier drivers in its ranks. Oh_Darn, fab.ICEMAN, cloudmcshort, Arken, Madderose - all of these drivers have been on the absolute limit of skill and talent. We do not compromise on quality*. So, the challenge for Season 7 was finding talent with proven track records and giving them the full support of the factory, to propel them to the next level in terms of results and competitiveness. That challenge was short lived as we had just two drivers in mind and both were keen to be involved with the team. Driving Car #22 is a driver whose results in Season 6 were stand-out impressive - michiski22 of Belgium. And driving Car #54, after taking a sabbatical season, is a multiple-racing winner future champion from Estonia, Superstepa_I'm really excited about working with these guys, and ensuring Progen is able to defend it's Constructor's title. I believe we have an excellent driver pairing, and that they're ready to step up to a new, next level of competitiveness and results." * except when Ndr was driving for the team lols
