I've got a little question: Whoever the 4 teams will be, will they get specific TS channels? This is to avoid random conversations about what everyone is having for lunch the next day / to talk tactics without other teams knowing. RapTor_X_ We can debate that. I personally prefer everyone in one channel and avoiding irrelevant conversations. That way you can call out takeouts, yellow flags etc. Being in your team's channel would help communicating pit stops better, but everything else is far worse. |

Grid and team construction via draft:The grid will be set up by order of race times handed in via screenshot. The four fastest drivers will be the team captains. In order of race time the captains are choosing their prefered team colors, horns and pit boxes. So the fastest driver has free choice of color, horn and pit box. The second fastest can choose between the remaining colors, horns and pit boxes and so on. The team captains will then snake draft through remaining drivers until every top 28 driver is selected. The draft order is as follows: 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and repeat They can pick whoever they like based on grid position (only top 28), racing skills, communication skills and sympathy. Already selected teammates can shortly discuss their next selection on TeamSpeak, until the host gives them a time limit. In doubt the team captain has the last word.
I'm hoping this isn't already answered or maybe I'm misunderstanding "They can pick whoever they like based on grid position", but will the times everyone hit be visible after qualifying? Only reason I ask is because this would give knowledge to the captains about everyone's pace. |

Yes. I will publish the spreadsheet with race times and best lap (of the run w/ the best race time).
So team captains will have all information just as everyone else. It's their choice to draft in order or skip guys if they think someone with a slower race time will be better in a contact race situation or is better fitting in their team for whatever reason.
But Top 28 will be guaranteed a spot, so you can't draft the 31st fastest driver unless 3 better drivers drop out until the draft.

The qualifying opened exactly one week ago. 9/25 signed up players have already submitted a screenshot. That's a bit disappointing from my point of view. I hoped to reach 28 submissions early, so not that fast drivers have a chance to see what their times are worth and give it another try, if they fear to be on the bubble. With rain we might get closer to 2h, but we should be done 30 minutes before SATCC starts, if that's an issue for you. Of course, I can understand if you prioritize SATCC and don't want to show up totally exhausted for another two races and skip this one. |
