My internet seems to know when I have a race. It's more stable and constant than gravity, but when I have a race my internet just shoots itself. I've gotta find a fix for it, but unfortunately I couldn't participate tonight.
Shame.

Considering all events are somewhere around late afternoon/evening for europe, it might just be the time of day that hurts your internet.

Congratulations to the winners! Today was an awesome battle between three cars. Finishing in pole position, the winner of the first Sunday Cup is number 17 @novesori , earning a $50,000 cash prize, very confident in his Verlierer! The silver medal goes to #321 Madderose , who also holds the fastest lap record in his Furore GT. Number 33 Oh_Darn concludes the podium with the Furore, pulling off the win against #48 st0cking 's Verlierer in the last corner. On the side of the cars, the Furore GT was the fastest car with a lap time of 1:16.718 by Madderose. The Alpha was doing good, only half a second slower than the Furore, with a 1:17.394 from #81 Ganjalo. Right after it is #7 Divait 's Verlierer with a solid 1:17.503. The winners are awarded medals that establish the Sunday Cup all-time leaderboard. Medals won each Cup will stack up : 3x bronze medals equals 1x silver medal ; 2x equals 1x gold medal. All-time leaderboard
1st. @novesori : 1x 2nd. Madderose : 1x 3rd. Oh_Darn : 1x On a slightly sadder note... San Andreas Automobile Federation Magisterial Superior Race Court Announcement
It has been reported by our acute pit watcher cloudmcshort that the driver #321 (Madderose) left the pits 2 seconds earlier than his mandatory 10 seconds stop on the pre-final race. He receives a 6.262 seconds time penalty, which still leaves him a comfortable 0.001 second lead for the second position to driver #81 (Ganjalo). No results are affected. :p Thanks everyone for the good spirit. Thanks Rockstar for the 2x$ Capture. Thanks misssnuggles for the super medals! We'll do this again soon!

Could be my router as that is quite old.

Please no more Bumps in the Pitstop I disagree. It was an awesome feature of the race. It adding some skill to pitting. +10 to this concept.

Here are some problems I could identify and that will hopefully be fixed for the next Cup. Track : - The bridge was a bit clunky, it worked out OK but still caused some issues. I will take great care to polish even more any track extension in the future, either by using more props or by placing them even more carefully. Hopefully the next track won't need such a fancy bridge. - As for the pit lane, I mistakenly added more bumps on the event day, while the previous layout worked much better in my opinion. The pits also didn't take the pit watcher's needs in consideration, since they were not redesigned after Cloud stepped in. I'll keep the speed bumps, but we will make sure to design the lane so we can start counting the time from the pit entrance (materialized by the flying wrenches). Cars : - I won't reveal the results of the cars testings next time. Although I understand some people might have more fun knowing these data, it proved to be very wrong. First, the lap times we have in testings are not exact, absolute science and the Alpha which I presented as slightly slower was actually very good. Second, it influenced the car choice while the main objective of the free practice is that it's the drivers job to test out the cars. It's your job to determine which car is potentially faster based on the battles you can have with other drivers. I'm doing my best prior to the event to ensure there are no major gaps between cars (and the 9F proved I have to spend more time doing so), but I can't/don't want to guarantee anything. If you're interested, here's the lap times I had in testings so you can compare to the actual race lap times : 9F 01:18.874 by Chilli (Arken qualifying results : 01:16.094!), Verlierer 01:18.783 by Ovivo, Alpha 01:18.799 by myself, Furore 01:18.299 by Fabricman. - Broken cars with suspension damage aren't a very good base for testing. I'll look into possible solution to the lack of repair wrenches in Capture mode. Same goes for the relatively low number of cars. Although standing in front of the start/finish gate waiting to get run over to respawn in a fresh car was working, to some extent. :p Organisation : - Gridding up took forever everytime because of a few factors, including : -- my outrageous lack of skill ; -- the confusing driver numbers. This should not have been an issue, as everyone picked their number and should have remembered it. It's partly my bad because I started calling everyone by both their driver number AND their nickname, while I should have only called the numbers as I intended to and let people that don't remember their number feel bad about slowing down everyone ; -- the spreadsheet that had not been tested enough. - Overall the driver numbers have to be reworked and implemented in another way, or even simpler, discarded (which makes me sad because I think they are cool). Other than that, the track was great : simple and balanced enough, allowing each car to show its strengths and weaknesses. The three cars were really close together, it was really cool, and awesome to see the lap times decreasing with each race. I hope I can be as lucky next time! The relatively low number of drivers on the track was also a good thing and allowed for clean racing and good battles, although we started 20 and finished 14. It's also good for the spirit of the event. I'm happy if the Cup can stay serious but not too much : like Madderose's 6.262 penalty, or Cloud not being a dick and giving RydACrystal less waiting time after he crashed so bad at the pits. It's all about having fun in the end of the day. Rules are here to help having fun. If there are any other things you'd like to share, I'd love to hear your feedback, either here or in private if you feel it's more appropriate. I'm really looking forward to the next Cup! Sugar_Free_Nos , I'm intending on hosting the next Cup somewhere in June. What do you think works best, we keep this thread or I make a new one? Thanks again for everything, and to Hale also for the Teamspeak channel.

You just say that because I nearly dieded Madderose did you just missed the wrenches there because of me? Ganjalo use Broughys testing videos next time. You could see that the 9f was 1 sec faster than the Furore and even more than the Alpha. THe 9f is on par with stock Comet and Feltzer. So this three would be a much beter combination, for example. Idk if you want to change classes or just cars for next Cup.

Yes, I wasn't aware that Broughy also tested the stock vehicles, I'll be sure to have a look at that next time. There is another limitation to the Capture mode, not all cars are available in the creator, I would have loved to have cars like the Comet or the Feltzer. The next Cup will feature another class. We just did Sports and the beta-cup was Supers, there's still a lot of things to explore!
