Big thanks to Broughy1322 and all the participants who made it possible. It was a big success. There were ups and downs, there was controversy, there were thrills, it was long and gruelling, but in the end it was a successful and entertaining championship. Roll on the second one for next-gen! |

This final race was super fun. Starting with the hillarious pre-race lobby and then with a thrilling race, at least in GT2. Congratulations to OpalescentFalcon for today's win, you deserved it despite the game saying otherwise at the end. You were really quick and pulled out a couple of impressive overtakes on me. The 45 minute long battle with you has been the best I've had in this game. The first accident was due to lagg (there was no contact in my screen) and the second one, well, i probably shouldn't have gone for the pass there. Shortly after I went wide and Jontti500 got in front of me. We ended up separated by less than 1 second, a good picture of how our battle in the championship has been. Congrats to you for securing that second place. Also thanks a ton to Broughy1322 for organizing and streaming the event. I did not only have tons of fun, but it has helped me push my racing level up a lot. At the beginning of the championship I was happy if I could simply avoid last place, and by the end of it I got several second places out of 8 and have been involved in a couple of battles for the lead, even enjoyed some (brief) moments of glory defending the lead  So thanks to basically everyone who raced in this event! Last but not least, today in the very beginning of the race I was hit from behind and thst caused me to hit James_N9699. You had begin spinning and my contact caused you to spin completely. Since I was also hit I chose not to wait. It may not have been a good decision. Sorry for that  |

Hats off to you for waiting after this incident EderForty. Many have been guilty of just driving off. Was probably due to lag, on my screen you rammed me from the right. Ended up in a ditch and had to respawn. I really enjoyed this battle, too bad it did not go to the end because of lag. Big thanks to Broughy for organizing this event. Had loads of fun, even in the pre-race lobbies. |
