Fantastic job CHILLI, always checking this when i try to change a car's setup. So far i only tuned my 9F using your guide (carbon wheels) but i want to proceed to other cars.
So if i understand correctly your guide and grim's post, if i choose Rear Traction+ wheels for FMJ i will get better traction in its weakest point (slight oversteer) plus understeer which wont be a big issue as this car is the most non-understeery (lmao for the word, english not native) car in the game?
In the same way, i find 811s biggest flow the heavy unsersteer. If i choose front traction wheels i have to expect slightly less understeer?

*Falls over*Hm... although it feels horribly tacky to end up with 3 pinned threads but... how many would vote for getting this thread pinned too? That and perhaps unpin the "mechanics" thread, idk. What do you guys think? I see what you did there :yoba2:

Some cars dont get their understeer/oversteer from traction balance alone, so it's not guaranteed to make as big of a difference as you might expect, but it's worth a try. EDIT: jt33396 hah I didnt even think of that when I wrote it

Me and akaJayJohn just found something out. We drag raced our T20s on the airport and I was accelerating faster and getting away from him every time. When we switched cars he was getting away from me instead. We had the same setup on our vehicles except the rims. I had Tuner-Saisoku and he had Muscle-Drag SPL wheels. When he switched to Saisoku as well we both had the same speed and acceleration. We further tested this with Feltzers to see if it applies to all cars but it didn't seem to affect Feltzer. Is this something special for certain vehicles? CHILLI

Is this something special for certain vehicles? You were in Freeroam, so maybe one of your cars were affected by this? (Quote from Weekday Playlist Series) (Races seem to be unaffected) EDDI2142 talked about a bug with lost performance of any car pulled out of your garage. I didn't worry until I found this reddit post: www.reddit.com/r/gtaonline/comments/56hrel/psa_vehicle_engine_upgrades_do_not_work_when_a/TL;DR: Retrieving a Vehicle from a Garage disables Engine EMS Upgrades. Mechanic/Assistant Delivery Unaffected. Visiting LSC/Repurchasing the Upgrade temporarily resolves the issue. Upgrade is disabled every time a car leaves a Garage. Issue affects ALL Vehicles, most noticeable on those with "low" acceleration. Effect on Races is unknown. PC, XBOne and PS4 affected.

No, we know about this glitch and made sure both vehicles have the EMS upgrade 4 valid.

We know that the Hakuchou Drag is faster while leaning forward than it is while doing a wheelie, but is the same true for the Shotaro?

Guys I know this probably does not belong in this thread but what is the optimal landing position after jumps? Backwheels first/all 4 at the same time?

Guys I know this probably does not belong in this thread but what is the optimal landing position after jumps? Backwheels first/all 4 at the same time? It depends on the vehicle used. For bikes, definitly land on the rear wheel first. For cars it's a bit more complicated. Cars with a low total amount of suspension travel seem to benefit slightly from landing on the rear wheel pair. For example the Entity FX and 9F keep more speed if you try to land quite leveled out with the landing surface, but make the rear wheels hit first. For softer cars like the Osiris and T20 it seems to me like you want to get as many wheels hitting the ground as possible, being as level with the landing surface as possible. My guess here is that if you use low profile tyres there's a bit less focus on keeping the car level with the ground, as a purposely "harsh" landing causes something resembling a curb boost. I'm not 100% sure on this, so it's best if you verify this yourself. thanks for tagging me jt33396 this thread and the document is impressive. thanks CHILLI for the work you put in this My pleasure. This started off with my own curiousity running wild. It just happened to become so much larger than I expected so I decided to share it

Picano has made two videos about landing cars with different drivetrains:
Summary: FWD -> front wheels first RWD/AWD -> rear wheels first (but there are exceptions like the Osiris which go faster landing on all wheels)
