How long is one day going to take? y my question and post gets ignored okay I'll just sign up as a reserve then. Sorry sir, was a busy night and I was responding as I could. I meant to address yours but it was literally "post-and-run". The event is meant to last for an hour, but with arseing about it takes up to 1.5hrs. I've eliminated qualifying and gone for a random-but-with-results-taken-into-consideration grid to help cut the time down.

Very sad to hear, CHill .
OK, so...
Announcements!
Benefactor Motors
Los Santos, SA - Benefactor today confirmed it had successfully lobbied the FIA to include its V12 Schafter model as eligible for the San Andreas Touring Car Championship (SATCC).
Benefactor, in a press statement, said the car combined unrestrained power with the luxury and elegance that the Albany Alpha only pretends at, noting its leather was real and "Corinthean Leather " was neither from Corinth nor leather.
No word as yet as to whether any teams were involved in these discussions or have even expressed a preference for the car. Thought rumours have been floating around the paddock of a rich Dutch accent being heard in a private meeting at the Benefactor dealership in Vinewood...
Pre-season tests
The pre-season events aren't races you need to win (looks at some people in particular). They're to help you test out the car choice you made with respect of its competitiveness. This is why it's at Blaine 24h - the track has a mix of sections which replicate the kinds of roads we use in tracks and with the tight town sections being good for overtaking and the long country roads being good for testing raw speed you should be able to group up and practice overtaking and the like.
Think of it as a driving academy, more than a "OMG MUST WIN" because I'm half tempted to say if any of the Usual Suspects give in to their absolute need to win, and win by a huge margin, I'll just start their season on -25pts.
Seriously, don't take it as a race, take is as a chance to try out different wings/wheels/whatever and to see how your car performs against others. I'm willing to group up with people and let them test their overtaking vs a Comet.
Atomic tyres
For the avoidance of any doubt, the rule here is that yes, you must use custom tyres. So, we should see the ATOMIC logo on all cars, in white.
Neons
Same as years before; this is not optional. I know it may not suit the look of your car, but that's ok.
Driver #1 has Red neons placed at the front, sides and back of the car.
Driver #2 has Yellow neons placed at the front, sides and back of the car.
Pre-season team shot
Same as previous years, it will be up at the observatory. It will be before Race 1, not before the Pre-Season testing.
Awards
The award categories are meant to enforce positives. A most spectacular crash celebrates a negative, so we'll stick to categories that reward good driving and good sports(wo)manship.

NDRPLS!
When me and grim asked to use the V12 - "No, we can't balance it"
When darn asks - "Sure, if you test it a bit"
meh... :/
Anyways, just want to ask, is it ok if me and grim switch places in the team? So i run red neons and he runs yellow? If not, then i'll get darn to ask and it'll be fine.

ok, StoryVS and redlaserbm - I think given the time the thread's been open and the people who've registered interest we can go to the next round picks of Herogut, Raptor_X and Divait.
Hero was first to register his interest, by PM and in the Young Driver Thread. Raptor_X is not actually a raptor, but a seasoned SATCC veteran who is keen on a Surano drive. And Divait has been a feature in recent playlists.
If you guys can partner up that's great.
Country/Drivers USA 5 Australia 4 Germany 4 Great Britain 3 France 2 Netherlands 2 Hungary, Portugal, Poland 1
Slots free: 2
So just like Season 1, we have the US as the most represented nation despite the tracks being tracks and not ovals.
Of the 2 free slots we have three drivers competing, one of whom is German - and would extend the German contingent to rival the Americans.
This the first time Australia's had >3 drivers on the grid. The lowest was Season 1 (when Pezby was a reserve for Speedophile Racing) and the end of Season 3 after SBRWHY retired.
Britain retains a constant 3 drivers (Vixtro S3 -> Smithy S4) and France, 2 (Story and Ganjalo).
This is not the first time we've had a Polish driver on the grid, as we've had cFiyah in the past. Is it, however, the first time we've had a Portugese driver. Bom dia!
I feel like we're missing an Estonian though... Superstepa_

No Cloud was, and I'd meant to include it in the list after a few people asked about it over Young Drivers. Someone noted it was in the S3 allowed, and I got some PMs making a case for it. I'd intended it to be on the list here, but didn't then DRN mentioned it yesterday on TS.
It was actually already safely downgraded in S3 but I got DRNWHY and GRMPLS to test it again to be sure.
Downgrades are on Page 1. Cars aren't locked in until just before race 1.

Really not happy to see the downgrades of the surano, right after I locked my choice. Benimi had tested that upgrades, you know that the car is way too slow now lol. You should have prevent me yesterday when we talked about it, I wouldn't pick the surano if I knew it's gonna have a big downgrade, I'm pretty sure it was volontary, really not cool.

Note - the above may or may not be scientifically confirmed, but that's the general consensus.
