btw can people clap whenever a winner is announced? That would make it so much immersive and lots of respect Those who have sound detection microphones so they are able to clap of course xD Soundboards would be boring its hard to clap irl and hold 2 thumbsticks to clap in-game at the same time I didn't think about ingame clapping... shit

Obey/Nihon5 Season 4 Conclusion
After an exciting last raceday, Obey/NH5 looks back on the final raceday and the season as a whole. Before hearing what they have to say about the season, let's see how their last 2 races went: St0cking: "Delperro was as hard as i expected it to be. I've never driven this track in any event before and i didn't come prepared enough I'd say. After an extremely rough start, making mistakes myself and suffering from others' mistakes, pretty much landing in around last place, i decided to get a restart for myself and just do all my pits one after another. Afterwards i had a rather calm race with little to no mistakes and I was surprised to see that at the end i got up to as far as 14th, only 8sec away from pointplaces. On the Yarn is, next to Parsons Loop and Fever Pitch, one of my top3 tracks of the season and i was sad to not have been able to race on it last season. Starting on 5th i told Ganjalo that it would be a perfect ending to the season to not only get our first podium spot, but maybe even a double podium! I did not expect the superiority of the verlierer, although it wasnt too big considering the length of the track, but our double podium was there to take. It was a real shock when suddenly Ganjalos engine once again lost all power and he possibly even lost the racewin. Not to mention it cost us 2 positions in the teamchampionship.. My race went well except for some troubles on first 2 laps and at some point i was confident to take 2nd home. Then one car i was lapping didn't make space, it was raining heavily and it was a very fast downhill corner and i spun out going into his rear.. I thought that was it for me and my podium but i was able to recover just in time and saved my 2nd, securing the podiumspot. It was tough and the race was unusually long, very exhausting and nervewrecking in the rain..but at least for me it turned out in a memorable finish Oh and i was very proud to finally get the best 9F laptime on a track, especially on this one!" Ganjalo:
"It was difficult to start from the back on Del Perro, it's a very tight track, and I only managed to gain 8 position. I'm not gaining any points with that but I had an interesting race with good driving, respectful battles and clean overtakes. On the Yarn is a big disappointment of course, it was a podium finish on a silver platter. Above all, that engine failure costs my team two positions in the championship. Less importantly, I don't get the result I deserve and that doesn't feel fair. The same thing happened in the '16 Grotti F1 finale, where my best result of the season got taken away."
St0cking:
"So, summarizing the season.. it's been great fun. I had more expectations of myself at the start of the season but as the season went on I came to peace with my pace and ofcourse I'm very happy and proud of my last race result. I really appreciate this event so i hope that even without me there will be many seasons to come. Big thanks to the host, the strategy group, loser with his spreadsheet and everyone else who made this event what it is. Special thanks to my teammate Ganjalo, i don't know how well you all know him but he's had a big part in building my pace, he pretty much taught me the abc of gta racing, starting back at the end of season 2 where i didn't even know that different spoilers affect the handling of the cars and all that stuff. He's also always been very supportive about any "forum roleplay" ideas i had like the screenshots, the scoreboards and so on so I was very lucky that what started off as a random team, not actually knowing him before, quickly turned into a great partnership. I wish him all the best and i really hope he will get the rewards that he deserves but has been denied so far in his next venture. " Ganjalo:
"It was great to work closely with my teammate and all the Japanese engineers, to try to squeeze everything out of the 9F. It's good to share the track with other dedicated racers, the SATCC is a highly regarded event in our community and I'm lucky enough to be a part of it. I had highs and lows over the course of the season, but I'm happy to finish in the top 10 and to prove I'm a consistent driver. I'm not sure what's ahead now but I do hope I'll have more chances at aiming for the podium!" --- Obey/NH5 thanks all their fans for the amazing support!

Season 4 comes to an end... Just Hero and I drove in a rented Albany stretch to pickup the champions ovivoJR and Dnl_Jackson from their house. A short trip across town to the helipad, then over to Oh_Darn's yacht for festivities. Upon arrival, the deck of the yacht greeted us with the Pfister of Ovivo, the Verlierer of runner up lewjen (smithyonetwelve) and the 9F of third place getter, Oh_Darn. The awards were presented as follows: SATCC Season 4 Driver's Champion - OvivoJR SATCC Season 4 Constructor's Champions - Pfister Motorsports You Tool Fastest Lap Award - Smithyonetwelve Best Car of the Season: Pfister Comet Best Track of the Season: Zan Cudochamps by OvivoJR/Endersai Best overtake of the Season: Benimi on michiski22 at Zan Cudochamps. This just represented the respect we talk about all the time in SATCC. Two drivers battling for position and showing each other massive amounts of respect by leaving room, or just by having slight contact in a way that's not pushing the other away. Really good job, both of you. Best Veteran of the Season: fab. ICEMAN Most Improved this Season: DNL_Jackson Best Rookie of the Season: TonyborbonyPhenomenal results guys. 21 people voted here, which is a solid result, so to each winner - you're there because your peers saw that your actions all season were as strong as they were, and you all typified the values of the event. I'm proud of all of you, well done. FriendlyBaron - we're good to move this to completed. Thank you everyone for making Season 4 so memorable. Best season yet!

Great season and great races everyone I will probably not make it to season 5 (or season 1 since its SAGTC now?) because of school and sleep schedules. I don't know when the clocks change but having this event 1 hour earlier might help me and might make me decide to join. Otherwise I'd call this a partial retirement from SATCC (SAGTC) for the moment Congrats on the winners on prizes We rekt darn's yacht which is always great For someone who exploded three times in the races, I exploded a suprisingly low amount of times on the yacht.

Oh hey! I can still post in this thread, awesome. Aight, so I wanted to keep it short yesterday because let's face it, award ceremonies are boring. But now I can type whatever tl;dr text I want! =D So first of all I'd like to say thanks to everybody in general, up until after the first race day I had doubts about whether or not I'd enjoy this event for its entire duration. But everybody's attitude and overall relaxed atmosphere really helped me enjoy this event. Secondly, I'd be amiss if I didn't extend a huge thank you to @pezby for doing the Welcome Playlist every Saturday. I understood that the Welcome Playlist is something that's relatively new. But I'm almost a 100% sure that I wouldn't have stuck around for as long as I have if the Welcome Playlist wasn't there and if I had immediately jumped into the Dailies. The Welcome Playlist has not only helped me learn the ropes but also allowed me to meet other new members who were in the same situation as me. People like Tspoon, Kalev and EDDI2142 who were just as bad as me but thanks to friendly rivalry I was able to improve my racecraft. misssnuggles also deserves a mention here for her words of encouragement when I decided to move on from the Welcome Playlist. Without pezmaster I'd probably also wouldn't have so willingly signed up for my first serious event, which was endersai's Crowex Master thing on Spa Francorchamps, out of fear of being a nuisance on the track rather than an actual participant caused by my lack of pace. It was Pezzers who taught me that pace means FA if you don't have fun and don't respect the people you share the track with. I've said this before but for the sake of completion I'll say this again. Oh_Darn and Bezerka3 also played a huge role in me enjoying this event as much as I have. Parson's Loop was one of the tracks I struggled greatly with. I don't remember if we (Tspoon and myself) approached them for help or if they offered it, but their willingness to show us around the track turn by turn and repeating troublesome sections over and over again in addition to sharing their setups for the V12 with us really helped Tspoon and myself get a really fun start of the season. And that really set the tone for the rest of the season for me. In the last week Darn also showed us around On The Yarn, driving behind us, giving feedback, giving setup advice even though he didn't drive the V12 anymore, the list goes on. All of that resulted in my positive attitude and enjoyment the entire season. So again, thank you all and special thanks to the honorable mentions and hopefully the next season will be even better than this one. =D
