The teams (or crews, whatever) that appear in the NoDo pit lane are pre-made teams/sponsors ready to use in events. Let's say you're participating in a NoDo event and driving a Banshee, you might want to ask Sugar_Free_Nos to use the stuff he already created for the Bravado Racing team (social club crew for applying a logo on the car, car colors, driver outfit). That way, you don't have to put the effort to create all this by yourself. Now, if you don't like the stuff Nos created (you don't like the colors he uses on the cars for example), nothing prevents you from participating in the event with your own version of Bravado Racing, racing in black and red, for example. There would only be an issue if Nos was already participating in the same event with that same team. So, if anyone is interested in representing Dinka Motorsport in an event and would like to benefit from the work I did on this team (and really I didn't do anything so far because I'm racing for another team at the moment, I just picked the colors and put up the simplest logo ever - but I have to say this logo looks great), feel free to send me a private message and I'll send you a crew invite so you can apply the logo on your cars. Otherwise, I can't do anything for you. My crew isn't an independent racing crew nor a subdivision of NoDo that you can "join". It's just a team/sponsor that you are free to use whenever you're joining an event. I understand your confusion, I appreciate your interest for Dinka because I like this sponsor as well, and I don't want to sound rude but really it's not my job to explain how the pit lane works, you guys should be able to understand that by yourself. I'll ask commissionner FriendlyBaron to settle this, so we don't continue further.

Ganjalo has been correct in that crews here are mostly for looks and light roleplay, not about creating your own racing crew. Ganjalo's crew is older and his post is done up and everything already (just needs to put [RFR] in the title).
These crews are just for use in events. It's not like you can't have your crew, but in a NODO event if someone wants to use the DINKA name, they'll be encouraged to use the approved DINKA team, but if you wanted to use a different one that's up to the event host.
Buttkicker, you seem to be wanting to make your own crew with it's own community, which is fine, but that's outside the scope of NODO approved teams. There can be an infinite number of "DINKA" crews, there are probably some made by people who don't know what a NODO is, but only one is going to be NODO approved, and Ganjalo's has first shot at that.

I want to help create or join whatever option is the type of crew that would follow NoDo rules and participate in NoDo events, in the fashion that it could become a NoDo Verified team. As far as I understand currently, that would mean wanting to join Ganjalo's crew. Unless ButtKicker wants to change the focus of his crew in order to be in NoDo, or at least organize it such that it is more involved and official in the eyes of the NoDo fandom and forum; then I would join ButtKicker, and if that were the case, I would assume Ganjalo would follow suit, although I don't want to speak for him completely. Something else that came to mind: That would also mean that if ButtKicker went ahead with his own crew and later wanted to do a NoDo race representing Dinka, he would have to temporarily join Ganjalo's crew and follow his rules during that time. Am I wrong in any of this? We (as in my DINKA crew) are currently an independent crew for the time being as the crew has not yet started racing in events and neither has any members to get started. When we get a reasonable number of members in our ranks, then we will get started in racing in NoDo events that are available to us. That is our general idea, Ganjalo and enderofmidnight. However, if there isn't a race available at a specific time and date for our crew to attend, then we will host an small event with vehicles manufactured by DINKA for our crew, as vehicles will be restricted for each race, depending on the distance and layout of the track. These will be our plans until we recruit members and get to racing and then we'll become dependent with NoDo races, just to clear things up in the confusion. AHH, okay, I understand your view now. I'm not sure if I agree completely, of if it needs re-thinking. Couple points tho: Based on what I've seen in the pit lane and the others crews (of which none of the ones I've seen have >15 members in them on R*, check it out yourself), it seems like the majority of racers take the opportunity to only temporarily race for teams, therefore having the opportunity to spread themselves out. So if you're trying to gather a large permanent following, I feel that the opportunity for that is highly unlikely and I don't think that's gonna work. If you want a large permanent following on R*, you may want to consider have an independent branch and a NoDo branch—not necessarily as separate R* crews, but under the same crew and name. In which case, you could find people outside of NoDo who would be interested in racing events, and collaborating with other outside crews, and you could use NoDo representative in the team, such as me and/or Ganjalo, to organize and collaborate with NoDo racers. Independent racers will have opportunity to join and therefore exposure to the NoDo fandom, and NoDo racers will have the opportunity to professionally race outside of NoDo. You also realize that you have three racers right here that are interested in racing for this team in NoDo events, right? And even though Daleks didn't comment much more than liking the emblem, maybe you could ask him. That's four right there, that's plenty of racers for starters, and definitely plenty to join events in order to become Verified. At the very least, since Ganjalo has had more experience in NoDo, maybe the both of you could combine crews and ideas. EDIT: Seems the commissioner has said the final word. Ignore me, then.

Question for you, then. Could ButtKicker and Ganjalo join together and make a coherent crew that is NoDo Verified (as is ready for review via Ganjalo), and also have some independence in the GTA racing community in its entirety or other communities such as this one (as is the idea of ButtKicker)? So like, a branch in each direction?

Ganjalo I have decided that I won't be participating as much as I will be in my own DNKA, got too many things to do so I will not have time to run my DNKA Crew, so, if you'd like, you could have my crew instead if you to have that nice emblem and crew colour and everything else. If you'd like to have my crew, just join it and I will make you Crew Leader.

TheButtKickerUK Tag someone by doing @"insertnamehere" without quotes. That way they see it quicker and easier. Hover over their name to see what their tag is.
