Something to take into account is that the xbox 360 was an inferior console to the ps3 in terms of hardware however the 360 crapped all over the ps3 In what way? Is this just another subjective thing? Also not sure what it has to do with the OP's question. Read the rest, I base the fact that 360 > PS3 on sales, network and personal encounters with people who have owned both.

In all the hype before the consoles came out, I also fell under the PS4 spell when they ripped apart the Xbox One in their E3 reveal, however xbox reversed all their DRM policies and now their isn't too much between the consoles accept for Xbox has a better network and controller. 1. The PS4 is superior when it comes to hardware. 2. The Xbox One controller isn't better for eveyone, that is just an opinion. 3. PS4 sales are much higher than Xbox One's sales and I doubt it'll get overtaken any time soon. Also I don't know why people continue to post here, this was just me asking for people's help when deciding on which console to get, not a continuing debate on which console is better. I chose PS4 and I'm not changing to Xbox One. 1. Yes but hardly, multi-plat games are still going to favour windows operating so graphics will be similar. PS4 exclusives is where the hardware mmakes a difference. 2. Fair enough. 3. Xbox One sales are lower because of mandatory kinect on launch. I posted to give you an opinion on why I think you should get a certain console like everyone else.

Also sorry if I came off as a bit grumpy. I got hardly any sleep last night.

I just ordered a PS4 and now I'm worried because some of you are talking about Sony's network problems. Xbox Live certainly hasn't been perfect though so is there really that much of a difference?

Read the rest, I base the fact that 360 > PS3 on sales, network and personal encounters with people who have owned both. Sony sold 80 million PS3s, Microsoft sold 78.2 million Xbox 360s. Both of those numbers are years out of date and the numbers released to the public currently are more than 6 months out of date also. For the record sales is a terrible indicator of which console is better. If it was a good indicator then we would be talking about how the Wii is the greatest console of all time considering it blew the ps3 and 360 completely out of the water in sales. Its not even remotely close and never was, the Wii has always sold better. However you dont see a lot of people talking about the Wii-U here lol.

Is this just another subjective thing? Also not sure what it has to do with the OP's question. The Ps3 used 100% of its RAM for gaming whereas the 360 split its RAM between the OS and gaming. This is why PS3 couldnt have things like (but not limited to) party chat and private chat across games. In theory every PS3 version of a multiplatform game should of ran considerably better. The reality is virtually every game made for that generation was smoother on xbox. The reason for that is Sony's lackluster software and architecture. They thought they would try to be innovative and fix things that werent broke to put it simply.

Its a substantial difference, xbox live has never gone down for anything but maintainence that they warn you about at least a month in advance and lasts no longer than 6 hours. Ive owned both consoles(PS3 and 360) since release, over the years xbox has been down twice for about 4-6 hours. PSN has been down quite literally for months cumulitively over the years. So far the PS4 has gone down for a full day and the x1 has not experienced any down time. With a paid subscription now that shouldnt be as big of an issue on PSN but it still takes time and money to build the infrastructure that xbox has built up over the last decade. It wont happen over night and its likely that PSN will never catch up unless they dump all their resources into gaming. Not a bad idea though considering gaming is one of the only profitable markets they are in right now. The Sony brand is operating at a loss in almost every other marketplace.
