SCE ANNOUNCES CO-HOST FOR SEASON 2 I am happy to announce that Nick420Guy will serve you as a co-host throughout the championship. He will mostly deal with questions, gridding, providing extra set of eyes for a safety car, and many other things. Since I am sometimes oblivious to TS chat noise he will really improve the racing experience. Also this marks (what I believe) is first time when a NoDo event was hosted by a team of Canadians. We also have 7 spots remaining and although it is quite some time to go until the usual suspects start signing up late, but events are always better when people are signed up earlier with tons of reserves.
ALSO TAGS & NOTICES:The following people were tagged because: can you guys try to figure out teammates, preferably (ehem) someone who's not already signed up? That always helps with signup process. You don't have to reply to this, if you don't I will just assign you one of my random teams. Daleks (@darkalex45) erikd94 PTgodPT sainters zjoao -- I know you signed up for weekly playlist this week but you were not there. If you really want to sign up you will have to talk to me about it. Can I drive a different car in the qualifying and the race itself? Qualifying car is a stock car, which will be randomly chosen. In the races you can drive whatever you want as long as it's in the list. You may even take someone else's car. But for QF everyone's taking the same car. |

UPDATE: WHAT IS RANDOM, AND WHAT ISN'T?Recently the event guidelines has been updated with information regarding randomization, in particular the starting grid. So in this handy post we will go over what will be random (and how) and what will not be.
Is it random:
Tracks: some selections were made randomly but it is NOT RANDOM. I eventually made sure all the tracks somewhat fit. To prove that the track change stays consistent, here is a post for that, click "What is this?" nodo.freeforums.net/post/205734
(Qualifying) Cars: these are random. It will be done on NoDo slack with a randomization command for all the stock cars available in qualifying, and it will be public. Let's say #gta-pc channel on slack for now. You don't have to be there, but people will be able to see that it's a completely random process.
(Other) Cars: no, you guys are choosing these. It's up to your choice.
Grid: grid is based on qualifying such that all three grids on day X is identical. This grid is result of qualifying, so is not random.
Weather: weather is random, but it depends on best laptime in the previous race (refer to rules for full wording.) Roughly: there is around 28% chance of a rain race happening per day (and there can be only one race,) while 72% chance of there being no rain race that day.
