(PC) San Andreas GT Championship Season 5 (POST-SEASON)

I'm hoping to leave this open for a bit so as necessary we can feed information about Season 6, since a few people have asked.
S6 will start Friday 21 April. Since daylight savings will affect most of us, the start time is either going to remain 9pm UTC or move back to the traditional 10pm time, for this time of year (northern hemisphere summer).
The cars will be GT3 cars, meaning sports. That is to say, the 5 cars endorsed by the strategy group will be the Comet, Surano, Carbonizzare, Banshee, and Coquette. We are still testing both lap times, and competitive performance in race conditions, to determine if keeping or removing turbos is the better option. If turbos are removed, a further 3 cars would be viable (but at user's own risk) - Lynx and Sultan with turbos, Alpha without.
We are looking at minor changes to the pit rules, in response to the "pit laps 2, 3, 4 and hotlap to success" phenomenon of S5.
We are also considering a maximum of 3 teams per car type, with an application process similar to how my Masters events are run. As always, the reigning champion and his teammate, plus myself as rigged-as-dick-host (and my teammate), are exempt.
Calendar balance is also front of mind, with some tracks being removed. However you should expect to see more than 60% of the S5 tracks retained.
A pre-season test day is on the cards too.
There is strong interest in Supers, and we acknowledge that. Right now the concern is that the Supers class would lead to a competition of hotlapping, where overtakes are only done via undercutting in the pits, or when the car ahead makes a mistake. This is an assumption but it would need a lot of testing to prove or disprove, especially when the Itali GTB Custom appears to have had the benefits of spoiler traction + downforce added back in...
The venue therefore to test this will be a few more Master's events.
