Guys I am fairly confident this was an unintended consequence of the patch, given the patch notes articulate fixes for GTA mode not being available for certain races. They wouldn't remove if they intended it to be a feature of the past. More likely, the fix that was developed wasn't tested properly - the bane of any project's existence, inadequate testing - and the removal was an unintended consequence. Now, as fab. ICEMAN correctly states, if we need to we can turn to secondary pitlane checkpoints for the event, and have a respawn. This would actually add an exciting tactical option to races, and when we first saw stunt tracks pre-creator this was the approach I suggested. If you recall those first three tracks didn't have a GTA mode either. Either way, we have two assets that we can deploy long term, and one major asset short term. Long term - we have respawning checkpoints and an infinitely creative community. Short term, we have the R* support ticket that's been raised. I encourage everyone in SAGTC to go and upvote it or comment on it, so that it gets traction with R*.

What a great feeling not having to worry about this game for a while lol you might still have to amend tracks.
Thanks to The_Bad_Loser for linking that. Before you go to the R* ticket, please read my post on Page 2 of the Rob-B thread and bear that in mind.
We are actually extremely valuable to R*, and should humbly remind them of that. Arrogance is nobody's friend here. We benefit from the stunt races having GTA mode; but R*, too, benefit from it. They put NoDo on the radar through that newswire post. If we can shine with our professional events and our positive, engaged mentality then we're an asset to them.
If people go in yelling with child-like rage, it makes us someone no reasonable person listens to.

There has been a couple of times for me when I've tried to respawn at a secondary before but it spawned me at the primary, and vise versa. Don't know if it was a bug but if there is a chance of this happening then people may end up spawning of the racing line and causing an incident.

I think you need to cross the secondary first; which means if you're timing the respawn to when you just hit the secondary it might not work. I've had that happen myself; we can test it though.
But, it's not worry time yet. Broughy's just asked for talking points and we have leverage now. Let's just see how this pans out.

Yep I think you're right, this only happened to me on Hilary's Clinton at the pit lane. But I think its because you actually hit the secondary first. Just tried it on a couple of tracks where the primary and secondary checkpoints are spaced out and it was fine.

Yeah my thinking is - untested of course - we put 2 secondaries in pit lanes. One at start, one near end after slowdown. you slowdown, stop in 2nd, respawn there, and MDSB out of the pits with that authentic squealing tyre look.

I'm detecting a high number of Baestia haters in this thread. People hate what they don't understand. including beautiful all wheel drive Grotti beasts.

The Bestia is a great car and I really like it, but I like the other cars that will be used in SAGTCC aswell. I mean every car, that will be used by one or more teams, is very good in it´s own way and it will make it another very interesting season, I guess. I think with the car and track selection, you still have a good chance to score points on some tracks, even if you are not one of the fastest drivers.

I'm detecting a high number of Baestia haters in this thread. No Bestia haters, there are just better cars to pick from, only you and pride brew (god speed guys, you are braver people than I) took something else other than the top 3.
