Once again tagging everyone to remind you this is going down in 5 1/2 hours, 8pm UTC! Please try be there at least 15-30min in advance, your spot might get left empty or given to a reserve else. Also, noone has asked any questions regarding the somewhat complex rules. Last year it was the same thing where noone asked questions in the thread but then just before the race everyone suddenly had questions. so please ask here and now if there's anything you're unsure about

Okay if you want questions What happens if the DRS or pit watcher disconnects? If lots of cars are in a pack together I'm assuming the DRS watcher will read out everyone's name who is allowed to use the DRS? Also is there any procedure for if your name is missed when you are sure you were 2 seconds behind someone? Are there any blue flags / any rules for lapped cars? If either the person who is a lap ahead or a lap behind is 2 seconds behind do they still get DRS? In F1 I believe they would. |

In F1 I believe they would. - if drs-master disconnects, i might decide to disallow drs for the remainder of the race. if pit-watcher disconnects, we'll just have to trust everyone to pit properly by themselves. - if lots of cars are in a pack together, it's usually pretty easy to tell if you can use drs or not. DRS-master will try to name everyone (he will tell you yes or no, not only call out those who are allowed to) but if it's too many, he might miss one and that person will either have to skip drs or take drs if it was obvious that he was within 2sec of another person (like if he was less than 1sec behind someone and didnt get a yes or no, i would not punish him for taking it) Do NOT just count the time yourself and be like "oh but i was 1.5sec behind him so i'm taking it". It's too hard to tell the difference between 1.5 and 2seconds. - NO blue flags since taking a 3minute pit will most likely get you lapped and you'd be at a huge disadvantage if you'd need to let cars pass just because you pit early. - They still get drs even if the person in front is 1 lap behind, yes. thanks for your questions |
