(completed) Multi-class Vandurance IV 12 Februari 8PM UTC

Hello guys! yet again I'm hosting an endurance race in the best class of all time: vans. Why vans? Because they're underrated, fun and pretty cool looking! This event will showcase some of the most lonely cars from GTA V, and I promise ya, they're awesome. Besides that they're actually very nice to drive! The slow speeds might make you think racing vans will be boring.. but it isn't. The battle's are intens and require loads of skill. The tiniest mistake will result in an acceleration disadvantage on the next straight. Just try it for yourself.. it is really entertaining. You can even use slipstream with van racing. It's awesome. You can thank me later.

What date should I clearly mark on my calender then?
This event will take place sunday 12 Februari. The prelobby will be up at 8PM UTC. The qualification will be started 8:30PM UTC

What is a prelobby?
A pre-lobby is a friends session hosted before the event. It's important for the event host that you show up to this lobby so I can get reserves in for no shows. Behaviour in this lobby is important, warnings will be handed out when you are griefing cars, shooting flares or trolling in general. These warnings can convert into grid penalties.

How does the starting grid and penalties work then?
There will be a 5 lap non contact qualifying before the race. The starting grid will made by the qualifying times. There is one general grid, and not three seperate grids for each GT. You will have to qualify in the van of your class. This means GT2's with a quicker laptime then a GT1 will be further up the grid. This means grid penalties can cause you to start inbetween slower classes! People who can't make the qualifying start behind the slowest GT3's.  Only exception are reserves, who start behind the lowest qualified in their class. The race will be started with a sticky bomb.

I assume this fantastic event will not last forever, how long will this exitement last?
The duration of this event is 60 minutes in GT1. Probarbly 2 calender years in GT3.
On what track will we drive all these amazing vans?
We will use a circuit designed by the official NoDo vans track creator: TDWPMark
Should I bring my umbrella?
No! Current weather can be bugged. And rain is unnesesary.

You can sign up by sending me a PM on the forums or a message on slack. You can also reply to this thread. If you reply in this thread I will make sure I'll send you a message as soon as possible. You will be added to the signups after you've added me on PSN.

What happends when I sign up?
Everyone who signs up for this will be put into a list. When we hit the 24 participants the 8 teams will be drafted. I'll be streaming the draft on my Twitch. Signing up in a specific class does NOT guarantee a certain team or GT. The teams will be randomly drawn after signups are complete. Each team then decides which driver will be in each GT".

But what if I live in Somalia and I have a 50% chance that the pirates cut my internet cable?
You can always sign up as a reserve! Reserves are always fundamental for events. Your participation will be appriciated but if you cannot make it it's fine. Reserves will be tagged in this thread. First reserve who replies will get the drive.

But what if I signed up living in Canada and a polar bear unexpectedly destroyed my only PS4?
If you cannot make the event make sure to let us know as soon as possible. Tag all of the reserves in this thread and myself.
