I've just started out on GTA Online and it's hard trying to get the money together to buy the cars I need?
How can I get some money without Shark Cards?

most things these days require an initial investment before you can use it to make money, so it will take a little bit before you start to see profits. But in the end, the best way to make money is still heists (as long as the team is competent, aka no randoms) It also does not require much initial investment, as long as you have a good team around you that has the necessary vehicles. Try to find some people on your platform who are willing to grind heists for a bit, at least until you get enough money to start doing import/export, etc.

Cant believe i forgot about VIP work as well. The nice thing about VIP work is you can do it from a private solo session, so no randoms can mess with you. Just switch between sightseer and headhunter/hostile takeover, and there is a way to skip the cooldown timer in between the missions so you can usually do them constantly. tbh i havent done it in awhile but its still a pretty decent and safe way to make money, although a little boring. Definitely suggest putting music on or chat with people in a party when you do it

Heists. Car Import/Export. Gunrunning.
No matter what, you'll have to grind like a chinese to get anything, because R* designed their game to be a chore to play the moment you need to buy something.

To start off I'd really suggest heists and whatever gamemode happens to have double cash (if it's halfway enjoyable). The later doesn't usually require any items unless it's races. I wouldn't even think about gunrunning or import/export when starting. Import/Export takes at least 1.5 millions for the warehouse and one million for the office. Maybe worth if stuff's on sale, but likely still out of reach for a long time. A bunker for gunrunning starts a bit cheaper and just for making money you don't need an MOC, but you'll likely want the upgrades to make it more efficient which means you can smack over 1.7M on top of the initial price, without the security upgrade. Biker stuff isn't cheap either, it also hits with about 2.8 millions for a fully upgraded cocaine factory and that's without the clubhouse. Plus the missions are very stretched out and boring imo.
I think it ultimately depends on how much time you want to dedicate to GTA. If you're just playing every now and then it might not be worth thinking about the stuff above since it will take some grinding to get to that.

I recommend contact missions if your solo. Make a playlist of your favorites (to reduce loading screen time) and replay it as much as you want. If you buy an armored car (Karuma or Duke O'Death) and an armed helicopter (Buzzard or Savage) these missions are almost too easy. Here is a list of my Favorite 10 Missions and a link to my playlist if your interested. Contact Mission Good/Bad points Tips 1. Titan Of A Job good pay, not too difficult Use Any Armored Car 2. Crime Scenester good RP, but lots of cops Use Any Armored Car 3. Denial Of Service easy, fast Use Buzzard 4. Trash Talk easy, fast Use Buzzard 5. Check-out Time not too difficult Use Any Armored Car 6. Cleaning The Cathouse easy Use ANY helicopter, land on the roof above marker and girl will come to you. 7. Los Santos Connection Great RP/Pay, but long Use Any Armored Car at first, then get a armed helo before 2nd checkpoint. 8. Pier Pressure easy & fast, No Wanted Levels After picking up package, go to pier or beach sidewalk. No Wanted Levels or Timer Use sneak mode and punch NPC's to increase your Stealth and Strength. 9. Chopper Tail not too difficult Use Any Armored Car 10. Flood In The LS River not too difficult Use Any Armored Car Other good ones: Blow Up II (easy and quick to complete, unlocks at low rank) Rooftop Rumble (Good Pay/RP) My Mission Playlist

1) Join any session (try get a quiet one if possible). 2) If possible, hire associates so they can cover you. 3) Set up Executive Search in the city somewhere. 4) Call in a chopper (buzzard ideal because you can call it in via the interaction menu instantly). 5) Fly to the top of the highest building inside the map. 6) Take cover. 7) Choose something productive/fun to do for the next 10minutes as you wait for the 25k to arrive. You can go AFK for like 13mins before being kicked, so doing executive search AFK is fine. I recommend staying near(ish) to your game so you can keep an eye on who might come and attack you. By no means is this the quickest way to make money, but this is what I do and it works 95% of the time and I enjoy doing it. EDIT: LolFish42 I approve of your profile picture. Very nice.

Do lots and lots of heists. In real life. Then use the money to buy all the shark cards you can.

My opinion.
If you have 3 friends, Pac Standard heist.
If your solo, a combination of Import/Export and VIP Work. I run it like this. - Steal a IE car. - Sell said IE car. - Steal the next IE car. - Run a VIP job. - Sell IE car.
While it may take a little work, your able to set up your IE warehouse/business to only ever spawn you high end cars. Well worth the effort you'd put in to set this up. And if possible, a Cargobob will also help out greatly with this.

If you have them, use VIP Work/ I/E missions, as well as if possible a fully upgraded cocaine factory and fully upgraded bunker. Try the following: Source Vehicle Sell Vehicle (Repeat from now) Source Vehicle Headhunter on the ground, helicopter or Hydra is too fast Sell vehicle (end repeat) Continue repeating that cycle until either you MC business goes empty or your bunker does, then refill whichever one and continue. If you get bored, Pacific Standard, then possibly do 2x $ missions and/or do some airfreight or Special Cargo.
