I know this will never be added to 5 so no point even asking, but in future games would you like more realistic car mechanics.
Like, for example it makes sense a Zentorno would totally smoke a Sandking on a highway. But why is a Zentorno faster then a Sandkind offroad? That's dumb as hell. A road build race super car with maybe a inch of ground clearance is better offroad then a purposely built offroad mini monster truck.
Way I see it is super and sports cars should be fast on tarmac but some of the slowest over rough terrain, rally style cars should come in a kinda middle ground, just OK on roads and dirt alike, and offroad vehicles should be among the slowest on the roads but some of the best on the dirt.
Way I see it that'd be the best way to balance out the next game in a sense, make it so no one type of vehicle is the best in nearly every situation.
I think it'd be more interesting that way if different vehicles served different purposes.

While I agree that the offroad cars should be faster there I don't think it would make for an enjoyable experience if the road cars were that much worse off the tarmac. Overall I'd rather see slightly worse brakes and the overall handling somewhere in the middle of GTA 4 and 5, maybe slightly more towards 5. And the damn suspension boosts being fixed, though I'm fine with mdsb.

Please go play Mafia III and tell me you want realistic handling in cars. I played Mafia 3 just recently, I loved that game especially the driving. Played it I think 3 days straight and beat it. If GTA had driving like that it'd be a improvement over 5.

If GTA had driving like that it'd be a improvement over 5. Havig it in the options like Mafia III would be best as it would appeal to all. Instead of the people who want a challenge driving. You can have Arcade and Realistic, and make sure you can push Realistic further. Maybe element Short shifting/curb boosting into those modes only or somethin.

Maybe my experience was different - once I unlocked the Dino, no other car was worth touching because of its handling.
Also, anyone else think the options of long, medium and short gearing would be better than the current performance variables in GTAO?

Also, anyone else think the options of long, medium and short gearing would be better than the current performance variables in GTAO? To me, when I talk about GTA needing a middle ground between GTA4 and GTA5, Mafia 3 felt like it hit that middle ground to me. In Mafia 3 cars won't slide 10 blocks past the turn you was wanting to make like in GTA4, I actually found the cornering reasonably tight yet it didn't feel arcady like GTA5 does either. It feels kinda like GTA4 but the handling is tighter and you have better control. To be honest Mafia 3 pretty much is what I expected GTA5 to be. I expected GTA5 to still have a realistic feel, but with better control over our cars. Instead they went a more arcade route with it. But as for what you said, every game is going to have a best car. I'm talking about the overall feel of the driving. Driving around in the GT and Apollo was some of my favorite cars. I unlocked a beast of a red sports car, that thing could go fast as hell. Heck I even liked driving around semi's and larger trucks because while slow, they acted like semi's and large trucks. You felt unstoppable rolling down the highway in one of those. Overall I felt Mafia's 3 driving to be very enjoyable.
