I know of some old methods but they dont seem to work nowadays. Did they completely patch this or can I still do it? I really want to black out the stock rims of the Merryweather Mesa, the custom rims available are smaller than the stock.

You need the iFruit real-life mobile app, and then within that app you have to access the Los Santos Custom app.
Before you do that, though, you have to change your vehicle's rims to a non-stock rim with your desired color, and then wait until that vehicle shows up in your LSC mobile app, and then go change the rims there to the stock rims (Will cost $3k) and then you should get an in-game message prompting you to bring the selected vehicle to LSC to process the work order. Not all stock rims can be recolored, by the way.

Thanks a lot, worked fine on my Mesa ☺️ (I already knew that method long ago, but I guess it was simply because my cars just didnt have the ability to be recolored, why I thought it had been patched) Cheers from a fellow offroader 👍

Another way to do that is to purchase custom rims ingame, switch to the colour you want, reequib the stocks and go to singleplayer after leaving LSC.
