I'm torn on this subject. This I know for sure though - I'm all for any activity that removes boosting over bumps so we can focus on proper racelines. This makes everything so much smoother. Imagine being able to predict where someone is actually going instead of having them swirl all over the place looking for every small crack in the road.

Hasn't it already been said that any of these new cars that are slow as hell will still be slow as hell without the handling flags? I think broughy was one that said the removal of these flags would only result in the cars getting slightly faster. So if it's not gonna make a major difference then I don't see why Rockstar would bother. Broughy may have said that, but actually the new Entity would be faster than the old one from just the stats. They may still not be on pace with the best ones though, which is Broughy's reasoning behind that statement; I asked him myself. But even if the supers wouldn't be on pace with the Vagner they'd still likely be semi-usable in "no Top 4" races which would be a workd of difference. From a game mechanic point of view, it should not devide the cars to parts with different flags (same with the TTC flag). Either all cars should have it, or none of them. And I honest think, all cars should have the new flags, because it removes brakeboosting, which single handedle killed the game. I kinda agree, but those flags would need a rework then since right now those new cars aren't only slow but also shit to drive, especially with that bouncy suspension. I'd miss the mdsb but if that's what it takes to get rid of the other bs so be it. And I really hope this experiment won't make it anywhere near the next GTA. Ah I see. Kinda a misleading statement on broughy part then. I get the reasoning but he probably should of phased it differently. I don't know how I'd feel about this being applied to all cars. I'd love to actually race a stunt race properly and not have to be tuck to the side of the course to run over curbs all the time to gain speed. However I'd kinda miss going around tubes at sonic speed. I guess I'd favor it, ultimately the pro's outweighs the con's. For years people wanted curb boosting dealt with and these new flags could do that.

I tried some R* tracks with the Hotring. On Big Drop it can't even make the first jump since it seems to be engine-braking on the slope before that where you are abviously supposed to gain a lot of speed.

Anyway, after all this I think we agree on the same thing for the most part: They should either remove these flags from the new vehicles, or add it to the old ones too, maybe change them up even, so that the short shifting isn't an issue, and the cars don't bounce all over the place, so to sum up BE CONSISTENT.

Yeah, as if. xD Few examples: The Blista Compact is a sports car. There are multiple sedans in the coupes class. There is a Minivan in the muscles class. Rally cars are being split between two classes. They put new classic sedans in sports classics while the old ones are in sedans. Pick-Up Trucks could have their own class but are scattered across most classes. There is a weaponized class and I am sure the Weaponized Tampa isn't in there. Compare the treatment of the Ruiner 2000 to the vehicles from Gunnrunning. Compare those to the Stromberg, which is fully weaponized while stock and can be upgraded in LSC. Cars like the Ardent and Nightshark aren't usable in races because of their guns, while the Caracara, Comet Safari, etc is. The Elegy Retro and Jester Classic are inspired by cars from the same era and scene, but are in different classes with one not even having liveries. Look at tyres can clip. There are cars in this game that lean into the corner (X80 and Tyrus). Speaking of the X80 it's file name is actually Prototipo which is why it isn't near the end of the alphabetically sorted car list in races. The Drift Tampa is a modified version of a muscle car, it's balanced with the top muscle cars and in the files it's in the muscles class, however in game it's a barely usably sports car. Maibatsu is a manufacturer for in game versions of Mitsubishis and Daihatsus, but when adding the Kuruma, which is based on the Mitsubishi Lancer, they made that a Karin. Karin is based on Toyota but when adding the Jester Classic, which is the ingame version of a Toyota Supra, they had to make it a Dinka because they used the name Jester for the Honda NSX, even though it was also used for the Supra look alike in GTA San Andreas. So they made it inconsistent by staying consistent. Speaking of the NSX if we ever were to get one it would likely be called Pegassi Infernus Retro due to it's appearance in GTA San Andreas and it being the only name left unless they let us turn a Diablo into an NSX and call that Infernus Retro/Classic Custom. Sorry, but after I started I couldn't stop. Even felt the need to go back and add more stuff.

I never said they were consistent in the past. what im saying is instead of poking at each other, we should make the most effort to shove it in their face until they actually do something. I mean, they listen to us sometimes, they are just very very slow. kerb boosting has only been addressed now, after all these years, but they did it, cuz so many people complained. the masses have power, we shouldn't sit around doing nothing if there is something we dont like. If i fail, I want to fail after I've done everything. I already sent tickets to them, i say its the least i can do.

I remember them giving the excuse "people might like things the way they are" Who? Casuals don't care what class a car is in, and racers want the vehicle classes fixed. I dare Rockstar to find even one person that enjoys the Blista Compact being in Sports or the Moonbeam being in Muscle. Go ahead Rockstar, find someone who likes these things as they are. I'll wait. lol I honestly don't get how they fucked this up so bad. Far as I remember GTA4 had it's vehicles put in proper classes. So why's GTA5 so fucked up?
