Before anyone says anything, I want to point out that YES, I know that a car can be popular and slow as hell (tampa, adder, many sports classics, etc.) and no, this isn't a rant, but do you really think, R* will leave these new cars with handling flags making them totally useless? I mean, the only case, the handling flags are justified is probably the dominator GTX which would potentially kill the muscle class if it wasn't hindered by them, or maaaaaybe the Jester Classic, but the rest are all rekt by these flags, and there is no way this wont affect the sales too, so if they do want to sell these cars and thus shark cards, it is a logical business decision to remove them, just like they fixed the infernus classic when it was broken, since it didn't sell cuz of the bug.
If not immediately then maybe in the next DLC? I mean, as Brough stated they are testing. But testing is done! It DID eliminate the curbboosting, and that is probably what they wanted. You can say that no, they tested that it would work before the update was released and they still left it in, but this update was definitely rushed (just look how terribly rough the jester classic is, AND NO LIVERIES), and it is perfectly possible that they wanted the players to test it too (and the scumbags they are, on multimillionare cars too ofc) but really, I don't see a reason, why they would leave the handling flags in long term, they still have upcoming dlc-s and if those cars will have them, there will be a massive drop in car sales, as it makes the driving experience terrible, noone likes these bouncy suspensions...
And I don't think that having only one odd update with cars that have these flags won't poke people's eyes, so again, the next DLC should at least make them remove the flags...
Your opinions? Do you think it would matter/will matter when we send them complaints with evidence how fucked up the handling flags are?

I expect the handling flags' behavior to be changed, nothing more. Just like what they did to downforce, so many times.

Someone on reddit said that these new parameters are likely experimental to gather data for the next GTA. Take that with a grain of salt. Personally, I feel it's logically sound and I'm inclined to believe it.

Hasn't it already been said that any of these new cars that are slow as hell will still be slow as hell without the handling flags? I think broughy was one that said the removal of these flags would only result in the cars getting slightly faster. So if it's not gonna make a major difference then I don't see why Rockstar would bother.

there is no way this wont affect the sales too, so if they do want to sell these cars and thus shark cards, it is a logical business decision to remove them, just like they fixed the infernus classic when it was broken, since it didn't sell cuz of the bug. Like Justin said, removing the flags doesn't make that much of a difference, so no, it isn't affecting shark card sales. The vast majority of the players don't even care that much about performance, and they wouldn't even notice a difference if the flags were removed. You can't compare this to the Infernus classic because that car was actually broken, these new cars aren't, they're just programmed differently. So I wouldn't count on any changes regarding these cars. Also, trying to get R* to change these things is pretty much pointless considering they rarely listen to the community. There are lots of other issues and bugs that affect the racing community much more, but when sending proof of these issues to R* they usually deny or ignore the problem.

I agree with the latter bit, but unline the entity xxr and the taipan, some cars suffer much more from the handling flags, and they should be removed.

I mean who knows other than R* themselves it would be nice if they where to ditch them and revert back to the traditional way.

From a game mechanic point of view, it should not devide the cars to parts with different flags (same with the TTC flag). Either all cars should have it, or none of them.
And I honest think, all cars should have the new flags, because it removes brakeboosting, which single handedle killed the game.

I think that the effect of the flags might change if R* wants to experiment more with it, to see what works best to remove curb and brake boosting from the game.

I think broughy was one that said the removal of these flags would only result in the cars getting slightly faster. So if it's not gonna make a major difference then I don't see why Rockstar would bother. Broughy may have said that, but actually the new Entity would be faster than the old one from just the stats. They may still not be on pace with the best ones though, which is Broughy's reasoning behind that statement; I asked him myself. But even if the supers wouldn't be on pace with the Vagner they'd still likely be semi-usable in "no Top 4" races which would be a workd of difference. From a game mechanic point of view, it should not devide the cars to parts with different flags (same with the TTC flag). Either all cars should have it, or none of them. And I honest think, all cars should have the new flags, because it removes brakeboosting, which single handedle killed the game. I kinda agree, but those flags would need a rework then since right now those new cars aren't only slow but also shit to drive, especially with that bouncy suspension. I'd miss the mdsb but if that's what it takes to get rid of the other bs so be it. And I really hope this experiment won't make it anywhere near the next GTA.
