Also the cynic in me tells me that the Hololens demo is nothing more than something that was scripted and made just for the show, similar in a way to this first Kinect demonstration that completely over-exaggerates what the final product ended up being like:

Alright, so onto Ubisoft. Nothing was really surprising there, besides the choice in hosts. We had three female hosts, which prompted a lot of stupid "SEX" and "EBONY" and "BLACK SEX" comments on Twitch. The maturity of these people! Well back to it, no real surprises in terms of games. Most of them were either seen from a mile away (Rainbow Six Siege, Sndicate), or ones you wouldn't really care much about (The Crew DLC, some type of ultra-sci-fi gravity-defying F1 racing game). Only real peak of interest I felt was right at the end, with Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon.
Might I add, are they turning Tom Clancy into some type of sticker to boost sales? Who is Tom Clancy anyway? Why have I never heard of him?
Overall, a C. Needs something "Interesting," "New," or genuinely "exciting."

You can call me biased all you want but I'd much rather have Sony's first party stuff than Xbox's, which is why I'm not fussed by the latter's backwards compatibility. Most of the exclusive games in Sony's conference interested me and once again reminded me why I've always loved PlayStation. The SCE logo is always a sign of quality to me and a lot of the times it means something imaginative, creative, strange and unlike anything else.
I'm a little disappointed that there wasn't anything about:
Bloodborne DLC Rime The Witness
But in general I liked Sony's conference because of the games.

In my opinion Sony won. Microsoft had a few brightspots such as the backwards compability, but it was not enough to beat Sony's lineup of games.

Sony won hands down...it wasn't even a contest. Opening up with one of the most sought after games in recent times, The Last Guardian, was a genius move (after that demo of it, I'm less hyped though). Six years of development hell but finally we get to see at least a little more from the makers of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus...which is a pretty good track record for a developer if you ask me. They also announced two of the four most wanted games of all time, Final Fantasy VII remake and Shenmue 3 (the others being Fallout 4 & Half-Life 3). People have literally been begging for these games for the past decade and we actually now have three of them, two of which are courtesy of Sony. There wasn't a lot that really wowed me. Most of the best stuff had already been announced so I wasn't all that surprised by anything from Sony or Microsoft. No Man's Sky looks stunning but again...we already knew about it, and the same goes for Uncharted. I am now going to be keeping my eye on Horizon: Zero Dawn though. That was a very well put together trailer and demo for the game. It had just the right amount of story to intrigue me and I now want to know more about the game world. The gameplay looks pretty solid, although nothing spectacular or innovative. I can't help but think it could go the way of recent Assassin's Creed games though. AC games in recent years all look very pretty but end up being a load of shit. The story (which used to be amazing) is no longer interesting and is now to the point of ridiculous instead of interesting, alternate takes on history and the gameplay leaves nothing to be desired because they have just over done it. So yeah, I hope Horizon doesn't go the way of a pretty to look at but not very engaging game. So to summarise, I'm interested but cautious. The rest was meh. Hitman...meh, Call of duty...meh, that dream game thing...very meh. Microsoft really didn't have anything special at all. The new Tomb Raider was probably their best game and that isn't even an exclusive. I couldn't care less about Forza, same with Gears 4 (looks good, but it's just not for me) and same with Recore, which had an interesting trailer but it didn't wow me at all. Backwards compatibility is a very good feature for them to add but it is a feature they have slapped on in order to try and compete with PS4 sales. Personally, I'm not fussed about backwards compatibility because I still have my old console. TL;DR - When the best game at E3 is a remake of a game from 1997 there is definitely something wrong. Don't get me wrong...I love Final Fantasy and I am going to play the shit out of that game but the fact that only one new IP announced (Horizon) was even remotely interesting doesn't bode well for me

Jontti500A) Why is your list so short? And why is it only consoles? Developers make the industry more than the console/PC. B) Bethesda is the clear winner, too much going for it. Squeenix comes a second for me, due to FF7 and TR2. C) Your options could start a console flame war, hence your poll should have more options. D) FF7 looks to be only a timed Exclusive for Sony, just as Tomb Raider is for the Xbox. Fallout will have xbox mods sooner than PS, the library of songs in Rock Band is more expansive on the xbox. It really depends on your interests, again hence why developer/publisher should be a vote (otherwise my vote is xbox, as most everything I want out of E3 will come out on Xbox eventually).

Leprechaun (kighnet) Yes, you're right...no one wants a console war here...but every year from the second E3 kicks off it's all about "Who won E3?" and it never includes developers and publishers such is Bethesda and EA etc. It's always a focus on "the big three" of Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo. P.S. Sony would have still won even if we voted on everyone else

The who won E3 question is tied to the big three plattform companies, if I wanted to include the rest I'd ask who had the best show. Since I don't want a console war either I'll change it to that then. Hoping for a civilised discussion is most likely to much to hope for.

Ubisoft would have had a chance to challenge for the top spot if they had just skipped that atrocious act by Derulo.

Need for Speed and Mirror's Edge. 'Nuf said.
Microsoft announcing backwards compatibility just felt like they were sticking the finger up at early adopters. When the X1 was released, they said it HAD to have the kinect plugged in and that backwards compatibility was impossible. Here we are where neither of those things are true anymore.

I got the games I wanted and thats all that matters. Not going to vote on such a subjective opinion based poll. Not before Ive played any of the games anyways. To me voting on this is like grading drafts in sports before any of the rookies have played in a game. Id be more than happy to vote on last years E3 or the year before that but there is simply no way of knowing who "won" until we get these games in hand. To be perfectly honest I dont even watch E3. I look at the list afterwards and only watch gameplay. No trailers or pre-rendered bullshit. Even then I take everything I see with a boulder of salt. Always have, always will. All that said the games Im super excited for? Gears 4 (less excited about the remaster but Ill absolutely buy it), Kingdom Hearts 3(literally had goosebumps watching gameplay, been waiting a LONG time for this), Battlefront (if you played BF2 this was an epicly fun game), Mirrors edge(Im just interested in a proper parkour game as I love parkour in Minecraft) and last but not least Fallout 4. Thats all I wanted, all I care about. Now if I get the money for all these games and the X1 I need to play them then I say I won. The consumer. This is what we have all been waiting for. You might not like my list of games but I gurantee you all have your own list of at least 5 games you MUST have from this years E3 and thats a beautiful thing. The kinect bit all give you but they have been working on backwards compatability for a while. Major Nelson tweeted at one point that they were still exploring all options and that it was not impossible actually. I really saw that as an FU to Sony for the propaganda they produced early on about sharing games and how their console allowed you to enjoy games from previous Sony consoles. Now it looks like Sony is the one ripping people off by forcing you to pay for games you already own and "M$" is over here saying "yeah you paid for that already why would we charge you again?". That was my take on that. Bit of propaganda to counter the propaganda. All is fair in love and war.

Sony and Bethesda for their games, which is the most important thing.
I liked Microsoft's new hardware plans such as the Xbox One's backwards compatibility, the HoloLens and the new controller but I'd much rather have great games and in my opinion Sony and Bethesda brought a tonne of them.
My games of the show:
The Last Guardian (Shadow of the Colossus is quite possibly my favourite game ever made and this much anticipated followup finally being announced makes me so excited) Doom (reasons mentioned in the other thread) Horizon (brilliant looking new IP) Fallout 4 (because duh, amazeballs) Uncharted 4 (loved the first three and anything Naughty Dog makes) No Man's Sky (what... the... hell? Looks damn insane) Cuphead (coolest art and animation ever) Unravel (looks utterly charming and the guy presenting it wore his heart on his sleeve, the passion overcame the nervousness) Star Wars: Battlefront (looks like Battlefield with a Star Wars skin. I'm happy with this.) Just Cause 3 (never played the previous two but this looks like a huge amount of riotous fun) Abzu (I love these mysterious and atmospheric indie adventure games)
Would like to have seen more from: Dark Souls 3 Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Mad Max South Park Deus Ex Dreams FF7 Remake Shenmue 3
Was disappointed by: Halo 5 Gears 4 Starfox Zero
Was disappointed by the lack of: The Witness More Fallout 4 Rime Bloodborne DLC Grand Theft Auto V single player DLC
