Due to new duties in my new job, I will be missing the first, and possibly, the second race of the season... For the first one, I'm out of my hometown so it's a definite absence, for the second I might be home for the evening. Sorry redlaserbm

-J3rry-Acinonyx- for now I'll put you down as safety car for race 1. I'll let you know more about specifics once we get closer to the race, but know that you'll be watching over the track and you will be the only person permitted to deploy the safety car, and that the safety car is probably going to be deployed a bunch of times because people crash a lot in this event.

I can pass my totally-not-worthless arcane knowledge of safety-caring to Jerry, that's no problem

Hi guys, We're two weeks out from the start of season 2! Some things to take note on: 1. Pit Watcher - We're in need of a pit watcher for the first half of the season, if anyone is willing to take up the role (even if just for one race) let me know, your efforts will be greatly appreciated. 2. Pit rules/pit strategy - Remember that we're running new pitting rules for season 2. The slow pit/fast pit and pit rush rules in particular are new to this event. Get familiar with the rules--notice that there are a bunch of rules in this event that are not used in others--and make sure to have a good idea of how you may want to play out pit strategy before you get into the races. 3. Track limits/Pit Instructions - The special instructions document already has all the info you need to know as far as track limits and pitting instructions for the first two races. I'll probably update it soon with some screenshots so that it is clear what is expected as far as track limits and pitting. It's not getting updated right now because it's 2:30 in the morning over here. 4. The halfway point of each race - The designated halfway point for each race is important because when the leader reaches this point, they'll get 2 bonus points, and the fast pit-lane opens (for oval races). I'll need the leader (or at least someone near the front) to call out whenever they hit this point in the race so that people know they can take fast pits and the leader can be correctly credited with those 2 bonus points. (For clarity, the halfway point for race 1 is when the leader starts lap 32/65.) 5. Sign-ups - I'm still happily taking sign-ups for people who want in for any of the 8 races being held this season. Go Postal and Beeker's Garage Motorsport still need full-time teammates, and Flash FM needs a third driver to fill in for tonysoprano for race 1. If you've signed up but don't have a team right now you're getting one in a week. In about a week I'm gonna start tagging the shit out of all of you in some other important post before the event. EDIT: Word is going around that car spawning is fixed again. If indeed it is fixed borrowing cars will be okay for this event, just know that as a consequence of our qualifying rules you'll end up starting in the rear of the field. I will update the SID (special instructions document) to account for participants who may choose to borrow cars for race 2.
