Best I have done so far is 2:16, getting me really frustrated Don't be. Not everyone's made for Division 1 in the very first race. Hotlapping, they say, is different from "normal" racing... And remember to submit your lap times, or you'll end up in the slowest division by default... (You can submit as many lap times as you like. Only your fastest one will count.)

I wish to learn one day how to shortshift, none of the so-called 'guides' helped me really It took me quite a while before I realised it actually did something and even longer to get it down. I don't really know how to explain it though, its mostly a timing thing. Best I can describe it is; lift your right trigger 10-15% and quickly reapply it in high rev's to force an early upshift. Usually works best right before hitting a bump in the road.

I tried doing what you described and although I heard the difference in revs afterwards, I have no idea whether it upped the gear or not and I didn't feel that huge of a difference

A shortshift is a way to find a tenth or two if you do it successfully so it's correct that you don't feel a huge difference.

After a whole week of trying to decipher the thread, I think I finally understand the rules. ...I thinkThis seems like an amazing opportunity for some slower drivers (like myself ) to enjoy the "1st Place" battles that the front guys do! As well as signing up, I will offer my services as one of the Double Ds. I noticed there are already Seven Ds but as a self-proclaimed slow-vehicle specialist I think I can help you out. That, and the thread still says you're looking for one more Lap time coming soon.

I'll check the text again and see what I can do to make it better understandable Thanks a lot for your offer! Although the "official" DoubleDs are full at the moment, I'll really appreciate it if you could play pitwatcher from time to time in a division you're not in.

hmm... i guess there is no way for keyboard drivers to gain that advantage too ? not unless you use a software to make a button on your keyboard simulate a certain percentage of throttle input i.e. make a key on your keyboard simulate a the right trigger on a controller but held in to a certain amount

Is there any way that this can be manipulated?
