How exactly do you approach hairpin turns? I always feel like I have to brake way too much and carry no speed at all when hitting the apex. The ones I'm having trouble with are similar to the first hairpin of LSGP where you dont have much room to go wide as you exit.

How exactly do you approach hairpin turns? I always feel like I have to brake way too much and carry no speed at all when hitting the apex. The ones I'm having trouble with are similar to the first hairpin of LSGP where you dont have much room to go wide as you exit. There are a number of ways to take hairpins, some better than others. Using the LSGP one as an example here, you would approach the hairpin driving as far out from the middle as possible, so far away to the right hand side. Then once you feel you are fairly close to the hairpin, ease off the throttle a bit, this helps you determine breaking points for the corner. Then wait until you are past the inside of the apex before turning and running out of the corner as wide as you can to maximize speed, in the LSGP case on the pavement unfortunately. Thats the way I would take it but there are others who will take it differently. Just keep practising them. Once you play the track enough times you will begin to realise where your breaking points are and will begin to feel more confident taking them at higher speeds.

sometimes it depends on the car youre using on how you need to take the corner for a car like the zentorno that gets loose under braking you can try driving in deeper, braking really hard and throwing the car into the corner to get around it or if youre in a car like the feltzer thats loose on power you can actually use that power to drive it around the corner.

Thanks all! Appreciate the help. Will try your suggestions out and hopefully I can get through hairpins more efficiently now
