"Too hot to handle" Multiclass Endurance
5th of May, 7:30pm UTCPrelobby 7:10pm UTC
There are two types of cars on the roads of San Andreas: The ones that are so easy to handle they could, and likely one day will, drive themselfes.
However there are still other ones that require a lot of care and will punish the drivers for every mistake they make.
And that is exactly what this event is about: Putting challenging and unforgiving cars on an equally challenging and unforgiving track. Speaking of which: This is a rather short hill circuit with a lot of tricky corners, so expect an intense long race where you'll rarely be on your own for long.
Track: Galileo Grand Prix
Laps: 57(+2)
Time: Current
Weather: Clear
Race length: About 1.5 hours of racing, expect it to take 2 hours overall
Cars:
All cars are in the sports class, there will be one car per sub-class for this event. Drivers have to own the vehicle in order to participate. It is highly suggested to spend some time on the car and make a setup, since that will make a huge difference in terms of performance and enjoyability of the race.
Same goes for the track, if you aren't familiar with it by the start of the event not only will you have trouble but you'll also cause issues for others. Just a word of warning for people who tend to go into events blindly.
GT1:
Pfister Comet Retro Custom
Restrictions:
No offroad tyres, livery required (see sign-ups)
GT2:
Benefactor Schwartzer
Restrictions:
No offroad tyres
GT3:
Karin Futo
Restrictions:

Starting procedure:
Flying start with all cars in a single file. We start as a mixed field and do a formation lap up to the theatre. We'll park the cars there and form a single file in order of the starting positions. GT1 will start in front, GT2 in the middle and GT3 in the back, but inside the GTs starting order will be randomised.
Once the line is formed we go at low speed until we reach the final corner. From then on it is full throttle, but you have to stay behind the car in front until you cross the start finish line.

Pitting procedure:
In the pits the drivers will park in the wrenches and wait there for 10 seconds until the pitwatcher shoots them. People on the track have priority over people leaving the pits. Also it isn't allowed to pit when required to wait for someone.
Pits have to be called out.
Pits open after lap 1 (so once the counter reaches 3).
No pitting on the last lap of the race (so the second to last lap overall).
Mandatory pitstops: 5 per person

Finishing procedure:
The race will end at the beginning of the last lap, so the final positions are determined by the order people finish their second to last lap. After that they will drive towardsthe theatre again. During that period they shall not interfere with the rest of the drivers that are still racing. Go as quickly as possible without risking any crashes or overtaking anybody.
The field will then gather and form another single file (just like during the starting procedure) in the order of their official positions. When everybody has arrived there we will finish the job as a group. Also please call out your finishing position after arriving at the meeting point in case of disconnections. And yes, this means that every driver can finish the race.

Extra information:
NoDo racing guidelines apply in this race.
FPS has to be locked to 60.
Attempting the race with a trainer installed will lead to a disqualification and a restart of the race if there are any problems.
TS-Channel will be available for this event, listening is mandatory.
There is no blue flag rule, so lower GTs and lapped cars don't have to jump out the way all the time. Please don't defend too fiercely though when it's not about positions.
In this event teams are optional. Teams consist of two drivers in the same GT. For GT1 teams and freelancers will use a sponsor from the Comet's liveries, in GT2 and GT3 please take a team from the pit lane.
