Will fix your lag. Generally not. I chose some cars that aren't that rare (afaIk), also I have at least one of each pair. Tracks will all be in GTA mode, so we'll spawn some.

PSA: How To Be A Better NoDo Citizen With Good Playlist Conduct, Edition 2016-1 As a regular playlist and event host I would like to see these things. You can break some of these rules sometime, sure, but please keep them to minimum as I would appreciate it. 0. If in doubt, try to be fair than fast. 1. FPS: You may run any FPS you want in my playlist (unless specifically asked not to!). But when confronted about it be truthful about it if someone asks you. We are not here to judge. Maybe you really like running things at 144fps, or maybe you are actually that fast. It's important that everyone feels they are racing fair and square. Once that is gone, entire PL might as well just sink into oblivion. So again, for playlists friendly competition is the key. That means not going full out just to win. This is important for any PL hosted on NoDo PC I know of. 2. Getting invites: Do try to figure out who the hosts are and add them on the social club, but in general don't be so anxious about not getting invites. If you are in the right TS room there is no way the host will miss you unless they are mistaken. You don't need to poke or talk to the host on TS, as usually 1) they won't see it 2) by that time, they have already seen you and are aware of you. Patience is the key here. Only time when it's ok to ask is before the scheduled start. During the PL running time the event hosts may be in race, not being able to respond to you, so do stay patient! 3. Pre-Lobby: Short answer: please don't do something stupid in the prelobby. Long answer: let me be little clear, don't do anything that makes other people uncomfortable. Some people want to have a quiet meet. If they want to, please let them. Keep an eye on the clock. If the PL start is getting late, that means it's now "don't screw around time." Obviously regulars get little bit more of a slack, but please understand -- it's because they know the limits. Please don't be offended when someone points this out to you. 4. Teamspeak chatter: People who know me know that I despise teamspeak and all it stands for. But I can live with it. But in general, try to listen more than talk. If you are not the event host and taking up 50% of teamspeak airtime, something may be wrong. Over time you will see when it is ok to make a joke, and when it is really appreciated you stay quiet. Do try to learn from what the respected, long-running regulars are doing. Having said that, some regulars could definitely improve. If in doubt, stay muted rather than talk. There is obviously some advantage to making the racing environment fun, but there is a line that you really should not cross. 5. Instructions: now this is the whole point of the teamspeak. Please listen to the instructions. You should try to have overwolf or at least be able to tell the host's voice apart. Learn the host's voice. And always leave some room when the host speaks or, when they are obviously giving out instructions. Interrupting during this time over and over is really not fun for anyone. Please don't do it. You don't have to wait for the host's voice all the time, but you should at least try to wait for instructions especially if you don't know the instructions! (Fun fact that is also not true: all nodo event hosts have to pass a singing audition which is held in the TS boardroom every other Friday, with half of commissioners presiding as judges. This in fact is why all event hosts have such easily recognizable voices) 6. Gridding: this obviously depends on the host, but again this is like prelobby -- don't do something stupid that takes people's time. You may see regulars engaging in some "illegal activity" but you will see they usually wrap everything up before host has everything set up. (To the regulars who do this constantly beyond the host's patience: don't. You are setting a bad example and being annoying.) Please remember your spot and DO NOT take spot ahead of your position unless it is obviously vacant and you are the person right behind it. In other cases refrain from deviating from your spot unless you are going to the back. If you start in front all the time, it is appreciated if you do move to the back from time to time especially in a large playlist, but it's not necessary. 7. Calling people out: this depends massively on the host's preference obviously but this is how I like it: if you call people out, please don't be accusatory. Have "things happen, duh" mentality rather than the "what were you doing there" attitude (unless it's something as shocking as driving backwards on the track, as it's clear violation of something straight off the guidelines -- but then, still try to remain calm.) If this happens over and over, be constructive, or if you can't be, reserve the complaints for comms or the host as this will be far more beneficial to everyone than you shouting at the player. And you have to take into account that you may be in the wrong yourself! So don't make the environment toxic over mistakes. Wait, assess the situation, and then talk. This is not to say calling out people is discouraged -- in fact, it is encouraged, as long as you do it in a friendly manner. 8. Playlist is not fun: well this happens many times. Maybe it was a bad car, bad track, or both. (or sometimes, god forbid, bad participants!) The answer to this is that it happens, and generally it's best to keep it out of the playlist TS channel or in-game chat but private message or private discussion with the host afterwards. The host will appreciate that 1) you kept control of yourself 2) you are giving them a feedback. This is especially welcome for my playlist as hosts in general do really want to know what is going wrong in their playlists. But do try to refrain from bringing up the point during the playlist. And this is from personal experience as well: when you have to think of like 15 car-track pairings a week it's impossible to predict especially when there are no signups to look at or anything to prepare from whatsoever, with pressure to provide something different each time. Having said that, unless the host is completely against criticism or having a proper eyesight, they will know what went wrong even before you mention it to them. So do keep that in mind.

Tbh, your name did pop up in my head when I was typing: Do try to learn from what the respected, long-running regulars are doing. Well, let's say after being in a daily playlist once I am very thankful for existence of this series... people who were in late night before Baron sold us out made evening pc great again were always great, and I think that's why evening pl is thought to have better quality of racing.

If you no longer go for a gap that doesn't exist. You're no longer a nodo playlist driver!

You forgot the 'wait your turn when cars are spawned and move back to your original grid position once you have a spawned car'.

You forgot the 'wait your turn when cars are spawned and move back to your original grid position once you have a spawned car'. Hopefully I can cover those advanced, complicated manoeuvres that some people find so extremely frustratingly hard in: "How To Be A Better NoDo Citizen With Good Playlist Conduct, Edition 2016-2," focusing more on actual procedures we use and why we do it that way.

I am announcing that as of today I am stepping down as host for Monday and Wednesday. Many knew that this was happening as I planned to only host those two days until Kloden got back. I do need a week of break, I have my own event to prep on, and also, I will be hosting interesting things around evening time very very soon (see last paragraph) All of this is subject to change from inputs from various people. But regardless, I am stepping down as one of regular hosts. I might emergency-host sometimes. What I hope to come back with is some non-contact only short 45~50 minute playlists to be hosted before the evening period, something daily. Details are being worked on though.
