Forgive my ignorance, I was wondering how do you send invites that are received in your PSN notification inbox? It is pretty obvious how to receive ordinary invites on your phone in free-roam and, apparently, it is also possible to receive them in story mode (although I don't know how to join if you don't press the Up button immediately). However, I am interested in those invites to sessions you can join through the PSN interface, specifically.
Why don't more people make use of this functionality? It seems to be much more useful than invites to your phone, as you can join no matter what you are currently doing and rejoin if you get one of those infamous timeouts. I usually receive NoDo invites on my phone – the other day, two people even invited me to LSGP at the same time – but there are hardly more than three or four people in a lobby. Today, an honourable NoDo member sent out invites via PSN and, bam, a decently filled lobby immediately. I find it quite enjoyable to race in a full lobby – if there are only few people, most of the time, it is not much different from racing alone, especially if they are at different skill levels.
I should add that I still haven't signed up for Skype yet, so I might be missing a lot of the fun and the common practice.

PSN invites are only sent out when you're in a normal/crew/invite only free roam lobby, then head to the crew section of the pause menu and invite people from there. That seems to be the best way to get larger groups together. Invite everyone into a free roam lobby first since they get PSN invites, then start up the race from there. Once you're in the race you send out the regular invites anyway so you're essentially attacking it both ways.

Thanks for clarifying this. So the procedure is Pause > Online > Crews > My Crews > NODO > Show Members where you eventually can individually invite crew members who are online. I wish more people were doing it like that. I'd have never found out about that by myself, so thanks again.
