Multi-Class Endurance Championship Season Four

So finally getting time to mention this. This has actually happened a few times this season, where the person in front finished basically a lap ahead and therefore a penalty didn't affect them, even if the person behind was within the penalty time on the second to last lap. That's just the nature of this kind of racing. If person A crosses the line 9 seconds ahead of person B but the race finishes in between them, person A has done one lap more and anything short of a 1+ lap penalty would be negligible. You can't give a 10 second penalty based on their time difference as they cross the line because anything could have happened to person B on the last lap if he'd done it. There's no guarantee that he wouldn't have lost time and the penalty wouldn't have affected the result anyway. In your example yes, if Mike had gotten a penalty he still would've won the race. The chance of this is very slim of course since it's all a case of where the leader is when he finishes in respect of other drivers, but it is a limitation of the rules.

I do agree that it's a tad unfair though and it's something that could do with some improvement in future events, mostly to the finishing procedure (perhaps that each class finishes their respective race when their leader crosses the line). We can also certainly add some harsher penalties for those not taking any stops or missing two. Whilst missing one can be a simple error, missing more clearly isn't, and we can add lap penalties or disqualifications for those.

Thank goodness I wasn't streaming as I have just looked at my recording to edit, only to realise OBS decided to record a slideshow of about 1 frame every 5 seconds.
I speed it up to 10x and it still looks bad.

Prelobby
I will start the prelobby at 7:00 UK time, make sure you're in the lobby at 7:30 UTC. Meetup at . It will be a invite only session to prevent various issues as of late.

Race Start
Today's pit watcher, feiaschdada , will be leading us around the formation lap: 
please be careful towards the end of the formation lap where the gas station is, take it easy and we won't have any issues.
Pole position starts on the RIGHT side of the grid. GT1's will have to start on a uphill slope to make room for the entire grid.
Just like in previous rounds, at the start of the race you are NOT allowed go off the track to get curb boosts.

Pit Stops
Pit stop procedure is back to normal like how it was in the first 4 rounds.

Finishing Procedure
Like previous weeks, while the GT2's are finishing the race, it would be nice if all the GT3 drivers could go to a different checkpoint again in the order of which you've finished so the leaderboard will show the correct order. So 1st place goes to CP 10, 2nd place goes to CP 9, 3rd to CP 8, etc.

If there is an open spot for the primary MCEC, I'll love to join in (I'm also in the secondary MCEC though, not sure if that matters).

My First MCEC race didnt go that well, No practice on a track and car ive nether used so kept choking until i eventually DC'd
