So, I started my first ever race on GTA:O yesterday. And today I started to tweak small things. I started to make a chicane... And now I have a problem, I think the chicane is clumsy and not very chicane like.. When I race through the chicane it goes allright, but I feel like when other people will be able to do, it may be hard the first time? I would like some feedback on how I could make it better, please help! Here are some pictures of the location and how it looks like from birdseye (I don't know why the pictures are so big :/)

As a long-time race creator, I know it will always be harder for people who discover your track and play it for the first time. Even if they're experienced drivers, they simply can't guess what awaits them. So I wouldn't worry much. Everyone has to learn how to drive particular sections to get better at the entire track. Now, about that "not very chicane like" chicane, I have a quite similar section in one of my tracks (I think it's on Pancake Classic (and I confirm. Plug !)). I'll update with a screenshot in a few minutes, but here's how I did it : *Used tire lines instead of hard, striped barriers *Made the lines look more like half-hairpins instead of almost-right angles *Used one checkpoint at the middle of the road instead of two. I feel like it's actually less confusing that way. Your section is more narrow than mine, but I think I'd go for the same approach. Granted, it's not exactly a chicane, but IMO this isn't the best spot to place one. If you really want to use hard, striped barriers, here's how I would do in that case (based on my own section) : Just replace my poorly-drawn lines with barriers and don't put tire lines of course, that should do the trick. I hope I understood your issue here, and that my suggestion helps PS : If you want, we can meet ingame on your track to discuss about what works and what doesn't... Is there a spectator mode in the race editor by the way ? If not we could just "race" while stopping at the chicane or something.

Thanks, I like your suggestions! I can see you're an experienced guy, that knows his stuff about the content creator You gave me perfect answers for my questions! I'll try doing your chicane, just a little more "tighter"(picture under, the red lines symbolizes tire lines). I would really like to test it out with you, then I can get some feedback on my whole race, I hope it's not too bad Thanks for the feedback, really helps! I will try your suggestions tomorrow, as I'm pretty tired right atm. Yeah, it's not the most ideal place for a chicane. Maybe It'll work tomorrow, or then I'll try to find a new place for it, or just completely scrap the idea of an chicane. The place for the chicane is also really narrow.. But who knows, maybe I willl get it working better tomorrow?
