I can reserve for anybody. Anyway, akaJayJohn is second on the list of reserves and I remember he talked about hoping someone else will drop so he can reserve too.

Round 1 Info

Race Info
Qualifying will start around 7PM UTC (8PM UK, 3PM EST, Noon PST). However, this week only, Broughcar will still be going on PC, so we may start up to 15 minutes late while myself and few other participants finish that up. Someone else is free to start the prelobby while I am still racing there - meetup at the golf course with your teams, like the main championships did.

I will ask someone else with good internet to host the actual race - we'll figure that on the day of.

Reserves
If you asked for a reserve in the thread, you will be given the higher priority reserves based on when you asked for the reserve. Reserves, feel free to just show up if you want to race, and we'll get you a spot if it's open, I'm sure there might be a few no shows.

Open Spot in GT5
Sadly, RazvanMC23 has to drop from the event (good luck, dude) - His GT5 spot is open. If any of the GT5 reserves want to switch to fulltime, please let me know via PM. Priority will be given in the order listed in the main thread, so martindurin -> akaJayJohn -> RapTor_X_ -> etc...

Teamspeak Channels
It worked well in the main championship's first race, so I'll offer it here too. The current plan is that you will go into a channel with your 3 other teammates, and use in-game voice (or text) for callouts or other issues where you need to speak to me or another driver during the race.

If you guys don't want to do this, we don't have to, but it's a special event compared to others where we never do it otherwise. Open for discussion.

If we are going to use in-game voice as the global chat, I recommend you set it up beforehand, but I will go over it and let people test it with me before the race. Pitstops
Same as the primary championship, you simply need to drive through the pitstop - no respawns, no stops. I will not shoot or otherwise interact with you while you pit. You should have moltovs or shoot/kick your car before the race to ensure the wrenches will work for you. Only one pitstop each race. Pits Open Lap 3, and close on the final Lap.

GT4 Laptimes
Can some GT4s PM me or post their best/average laps? I need to calculate how many laps we should do to get 60 minutes of GT4 racing.

Car Modifications
The only vehicle restrictions are listed on the main spreadsheet (Tires and Horn). You must also color your car per team colors (no neon restrictions - run any config and any color you wish).

Finishing Procedure
This season we will move to a new finishing procedure for the races which is more in line with real life endurance racing. After the GT4 leader has crossed the line to win the race, the race is deemed to be over and everyone still racing is on their final lap, meaning everyone who crosses the line after the GT4 leader has then finished their own race despite what the lap count says. Once GT5 cars (and any lapped GT4s) have crossed the line after the GT4 leader you must stop further down the road before the first corner and park up in the order in which you finished, nose to tail. The pit watcher and/or the spectator will be at the finish line to record the final race times that everyone finishes and to be sure of the order. Once everyone has finished GT5 drivers will continue to drive around in order to start the race timer. This all means that each race will last the same amount of time for each GT, everyone has a defined finishing point (ie. not a DNF timer) and it helps to alleviate potential problems with invisible walls.

Invisible Walls
This has been an issue for a while and it is not confirmed what causes it. Theories are spectators, DCs or simply at random when people finish the race, but essentially it could be the case that an invisible wall spawns somewhere on the track after the leaders finish. The above finishing procedure will help alleviate this (all players may have passed the location of the invisible prop on their final lap when it spawns for example) but if there is an instance where an invisible wall spawns and affects the race a red flag will be declared and the finishing positions taken at that point. Video evidence of this would be helpful so keep things recording. This is likely to only happen at the end of the race and may not happen at all, but it's good to have a procedure in place in case this bug does appear at any stage.

Doesn't seem like there are a lot of streamers in gt4. I guess I could set up a stream if people are interested.

But I figure it will be boring watching me drive 2 minutes ahead of everyone else Kappa.
