I'm starting this thread to ask you guys (and gals) a few questions about your tendencies when you're the host.
1. Do you change most of the races to super?
2. Matchmaking open or closed? If open, do you ever reset the time left in order to draw more players?
3. Let's say someone in the previous race was driving dirty and/or being inappropriate on their mic..... Do they stay or do you kick them?
4. Do you stick mostly to R* verified and created races or tend to run user created races more?
5. If traffic is on by default, do you usually turn it off?

1) I do not. 2) Open, and I will reset the time if there aren't enough people in for the race. 3) If they race dirty they get kicked immediately. I usually never have my mic plugged in, so I don't hear anyone talking. 4) I tend to host user created races, then choose whichever tracks come up after that. 5) Traffic always off.

I'm banned from hosting.
BUT, if the ban was revoked I would:
1. Try and get every class in there supers, sports, muscles, sports classics, compacts, sedans, coupes. Unless the playlist is catered more to supers.
2. Open to allow more time for crew members to join, randoms can GTFO so I usually have it closed.
3. Considering that you can't kick people from playlists once they've started (LAME) I'd just do non-contact until they leave. If not playlist then kick them.
4. Rockstar racers are ass so user-created races all the way
5. Traffic is always off!!!!

In regards to #2...... What do you normally consider being enough people to launch?

My usual benchmark is for at least over half of the allowed slots for whatever race I'm doing, though I will do less people if it's people I know. Sadly, because of my play time, I tend not to get many people to race against. Especially if I'm not using a verified or rockstar track.

No matter the time of day I have ppl who come to race. In the evening I usually fill 16 player rooms with pretty much just my friends.

1) Super and sports mainly, but if the lobby sticks with me for some races I tend to change to the other most used classes like muscle and motocycles.
2) Closed. I invite crew members or people I know that can keep a decent behaviour and wait for 4-5 player at least.
3) I tend to kick even randoms, unless they are in a crew that has a racing focus.
4) Nodo created mainly, and Broughy verified ones. One long straight/jump race may be added for the lulz.
5) Traffic off, too much of a game changer.
On a side note, do you guys sometimes end up in a random lobby after choosing a job from the selection screen?

On a side note, do you guys sometimes end up in a random lobby after choosing a job from the selection screen? There's an option in the pause menu under online, then options. It says something like enable matchmaking after job selection, or something like that. If you want to avoid that happening when you're hosting turn it off.
