Will oersonally throw on slipstream a few times when racing gets stale. Brings a bit of fun back but its not competitive. Just causes crashes and hilarity.

I will turn on catch-up (only during randoms with friends, not crew) way before slipstream, as I find slipstream to just screw over cornering and it's ability to just create chaos, at least catch-up is predictable. The reality is that they both suck. If I want it more interesting I would probably put traffic or rain on.

Would consider using traffic now and then if it didn't slide sideways and just smash your car out the way like it's nothing. The only variable I ever change to make things more interesting is rain. Catch-up and slipstream are a big no for me, I can understand why you would use it with friends though.

I'm not much of a fan of slipstream personally. It is actually pretty glitchy and inconsistent, as well as being way too unrealistic. In multiple races with slipstream turned on, I've experienced the whistling sound effect and speed increase when I wasn't even behind anyone.

Would also say current weather is something I WOULD use if it wasnt sync'd terribly between players. Basically: Catchup/Slipstream/traffic=off Contact/custom vehicles=on Weather= Clear(90% of the time) or rain

I hate driving my Entity and then only being able to drive as fast as a lawnmower As for slipstreaming I turn it off simply because: well, everybody has mentioned it. I managed to win by a good margin in a stock sultan against an elegy, just because I could slipstream and then get away. (yes his skills was poor, but I still managed to follow and even overtake on straights) Cool if they made it realistic though

Catchup off bc its silly that it slows the person in front down. And If slipstream gave a very small amount of boost or acted as the real life equivalent, then I wouldn't see any harm in having it turned on. But currently its like having Franklin's special ability, sooo its just OP ^_^
