So firstly this is not for obvious things like putting the Blista Compact in Compact class or the Moonbeam in Vans class, this is more about things that where generally considered correct in GTA5 but maybe doesn't hold up anymore in current times.
Like the Bullet, a car that's based off some model of the classic Ford GT, would you guys say it's a Ford GT40 or a different model? I'm going to say it's the GT40 for the sake of this thread as they do look similar to me, but I'm open to correction. So going with the GT40 that'd mean the car the Bullet is based on has been competing in races since the 60's, at least going by wiki.
Searching on Google suggests a car can be considered classic after 25 years.
So from 1960-2018, this car would be well over 25 years old, heck if this is all correct (which again I'm open to suggestions if I'm wrong on some of this), the Bullet/Ford GT40 will be pushing 50, so the car could even be considered antique by the time GTA6 or whatever it'll be comes out.
So going by that, plus add in that Rockstar has another super car in the game that's meant to represent the more modern Ford GT. Come the next game would it be fair to say that the Bullet should be moved officially into the Sports Classic Class, instead of being considered a Super Car Class vehicle?
Hmm, going by this I guess the Bullet should been a classic car ever since the PS2 series of games. But alas, Sports Classic is different in GTA5 then it was in old games. There are a lot more retro lambo's and ferraries now, so I'm sure the Bullet would be much more at home now in classics then it would of been even back in 2013.
So what do you guys think? And what other non-obvious changes would you make by the next game?

I'd like to see a double classing of the rally cars. So although they stay in sports/sports classics.. They also all have a secondary class of rally.(like the way some bikes count as offroad) And then you can set races to rally class only

Ah so it's based on a 2004 car. It's class as a super would make sense then after all. Thanks for the clarification.
The version in game does look like a retro car though, I have it in my Sports Classic garage and it fits right in. Then again Rockstar does have to alter the cars some to avoid licensing or such, so maybe that's why it has a bit more retro vibes to it.

It looks "retro" because the Ford GT produced in the mid-2000s is very heavily based off the original GT40. As in very similar if not identical styling in many areas. And because it's an original/old-gen model, so it's less detailed and looks "older", at least in my opinion.

if you really wanna get into it I mean they need to do some car-class segregation and more.
Divide the sports class to like 'super sports', 'sports' and put the 'problem cars' in the car classes they belong in (read pariah in supers, futo/blista compact in compacts, shafters in sedans, others in coupes and whatnot - that kinda thing. And then do that for the muscle, supers, sports classic and offroad classes at least.
Then they'll need to remove handling flags now that they've tried them out. They should increase shark card value by double or triple (how many people would shell out $99 for 24 million? heaps. done.) They need to fix vehicle glitches (like headlight problems/ weird handling characteristics/ armour problems for some vehicles etc) I couyld go on, but there are some serious little things that could easily make this game 20x better, but we're fuckin dreaming if we think it is going to happen.
Map expansion? never going to happen. fixed class classes? in your dreams. Better economy? nope. better prices for DLC content? fuck off. The only way that could ever happen is if somehow members of NODO ran Rockstar and TakeTwo.
which would be pretty dang cool, coz gta is still actually great in many ways. /rant.

I'd like to see a cross-class list of cars that you could put in Creator races. An 'as-intended' list of cars to use along side the rest of the regular classes.
I think the only real way to fix the class discrepancies is to put in actual bhp/top speed/handling stats and class them based on performance, but that'd be a rewrite. Or two.

Like your ideas will rockstar fix in that much depth I doubt it. What would be nice is making every vehicle available for any race we want in the creator

Maybe instead of having all motorbikes lumped together, there could be, for example, a superbikes class and a sports bikes class.

I think this would be great, I personally love to drive and race with motorbikes but if you want to race someone with a 2 million dollar bike you just can't because he is just faster this kind of this could solve a lot of these problems not only with the bikes but also with sports because I think that also needs 2 separate classes

Maybe instead of having all motorbikes lumped together, there could be, for example, a superbikes class and a sports bikes class. Add a Choppers class to the list, they need their own races as well. As for my changes: Hypercars (the really quick, prototype-like cars, like the X-80 Proto, Autarch) Modern Supercars (your usual expensive, quick car, like the Zentorno, Tempesta, Adder) Vintage Supercars (same as above, but for supercars from the 90's and older, like the GP1, Turismo Classic) Modern Sports (like the Jester, Banshee) Retro Sports (like the Elegy Retro, Sentinel Classic) Modern Muscles (for all the modern muscle cars like the recent Dominator, Buffalo, Gauntlet) Retro Muscles (for the old muscle cars like the Ellie, Sabre, Tampa, Dukes) Collection (the cars you own because they're old and rare, like the Z-Type) Supersbikes (the really quick bikes like the Hakuchou Drag, Bati 801RR) Sports bikes (your usual street-fighter bike like the Ruffian) Choppers (the bikes, not the helicopters, like the Nightblade) Sedans class is fine, Coupes as well, but only if they actually put sedans and coupes in them (like the Exemplar which is a sedan and is in the coupes class), a rally class separate from the off-road class would be good as well. The rest doesn't need much changes. The trick would be for races to either be available for one specific class, or for a general class. For example, either racing in the Modern Supercars class, or to make the race available for Supercars in general so Vintage and Modern cars would be allowed to mix up and race together.

The next GTA definitely need more classes just like GTA 4! Bring in just a "classics" class, rally, trucks, or racing. Hopefully that would sort some of the mess that is the class allocation in GTA
