Every Friday @ 3PM UTC starting 7/27/18
Project: CARS PS4 Weekly (Beta) Event
Here is an attempt to bring some more organized racing into Project: CARS 2 for NoDo on the PS4 side.
What are we racing?
Provided this goes anywhere, I will be hosting some relatively longer races on Project: CARS every week on*insert day here* Fridays. I personally am tired of 5 lap races around Monza in GT3 with full damage, or those uber hardcore people who host 4 hour races.
I personally enjoy Forza Endurance style, 15-20 minute races around various circuits with a pit stop. I think its a good medium between an endurance race without the time commitment.
What Classes are we racing?
I do have a bias for semi modern / modern GT and Touring Cars, so we will get alot of GT4, GT5, LMPs, TCR, TC1, Group C, Vintage Touring Groups, GT3, etc.
(Before you start REEEing, I will try to not host GT3 / GTE as frequently. I will also host Open Wheelers and Road Cars if requested).
How are we racing?
Cleanly of course, though we at NoDo have some extra rules regarding courtesy listed on our Community Guidelines (which you should have already had read) under Racing Guidelines here:
nodo.freeforums.net/thread/256/nonchalant-dominance-community-guidelines?page=1&scrollTo=46155
What about Weather, damage, etc ?
If there is a rain race, I will make it clearly know, but besides that, these will always be the settings unless otherwise said by me:
Weather: Clear
Time: Locked to 1200
Damage: Visual Only
Tire Wear: Accelerated
Fuel Consumption: Off
Driving Assists (racing line, counter steer, etc.): On and optional
Driving Aids (TC, ABS, etc.): realistic
Camera View: Unrestricted, for the time being
Safety Rating and Skill: Will be off and unaffected for the time being, but the lobby will have a password
Penalties and Flags: On
Discord:
Since this is a test event, I wont require Discord, but eventually I will need everyone to be on the NoDo discord. If anyone is on Discord to begin with, we will just use #project-cars .
To keep the event a little more casual:
I'll tell you the class in advanced (so you can pick your favorite car) AND I will tell you the tracks BUT I will list more tracks then there are races for that day, so you're not totally thrown off the deep end but nobody can tryhard and spend 3 hours creating a hotlap setup for a playlist style event. The tracks will be decided by Random.org or similar program. I know its about winning, but lets try to have some fun, too. There will be a 10 minute qualifying session if people want to make any last minute adjustments.

This week:
4 races, 15 minutes each + 10 minute qualifying
Possible Track Selection:
Daytona (Road), Indianapolis (Road), Laguna Seca, Road America, Sonoma (Short), Watkins Glen, Willow Springs
Car/Class:
Vintage Touring GT-A
ONE MORE REALLY IMPORTANT THING (thats why its at the bottom in caps):
What defines a pit stop:
A "pit stop" in the context of this playlist, is entering the pit lane, stopping in your pit box, and changing all four tires in one stop. Not changing 3 tires now and 1 later, not refueling, changing all four tires in one stop. I dont care what tires you change into, I dont care if you want to fix damage, I dont care if you want to add fuel even though there's no fuel consumption. I dont care if you want to pit 3 times. Your pit stop is not valid unless you change all four tires in one go, and it will reflect so in the results. Go into your pit strategy, and make a new strategy thats just changing the tires just for this event if you have to.
Only changing all four tires = okay
Changing all four tires + fixing damage = okay
Changing all four tires + fuel = okay
Not changing your tires at all = not a valid pitstop

When you sign up I will send a reminder on PSN and on here the day before.
Your car choice is LOCKED 24 hours before the event, pick one and stick with it.
