So, I've been curious if different types of spoilers provide different amounts of traction. It's been long said that they all provide the same amount of gain. But, from recent Broughy videos, the stat bar at LS Customs will not give an accurate readout for other upgrades - mainly engine upgrades.
Does anyone have any kind of insight on this with testing or something that could shed some light? Will I have to start using some of the tacky looking spoilers?

I think Broughy mentioned in a reply on one of his videos that all spoilers have the same effect, so it doesn't matter which spoiler you choose. I did try looking for the comment but I've had no luck so far.

Broughy said himself that the spoilers all have equal effect. Big spoilers can catch things like lampposts though.

Apparently little spoilers don't improve traction.

Apparently little spoilers don't improve traction. I'd consider that to be incorrect, as the spreadsheet linked by Broughy in his fact-finding videos has a simple yes/no under 'Spoilers' rather than a given number.

Looks like Rockstar has a slight coding error then.If you go to a customs with an Elegy or so, the Low level spoiler doesn't improve the traction bar on the bottom but the GT Wing does I think. You can try with any car with little spoilers.

Use small spoilers when you can, big ones are a nuisance and they look ugly. Plus, like it was said before, large ones catch onto stuff!

All give the same traction

So Team, I remember Broughy saying they're all the same in an old video. But, look at what was uncovered in his recent videos. Just just as the upgrades to the engine do more than just increase acceleration, they seem to also increase speed a bit. I'd try myself, but I'm not consistent enough

All give the same traction Like Broughy said, when you're browsing the spoilers in LSC, the first spoiler you select from the list (assuming you're currently hovering over the stock/no spoiler option), will show no traction boost. However, selecting another spoiler (or buying the first spoiler upgrade) will then fix the stat bar on-screen. If you have a custom spoiler, scrolling to the stock option should show you a red bar (decrease) in the traction stat, so you can rest assured that any spoiler you've purchased will indeed improve your cars performance.
