Chrome reflects the light particles from the sun, shining down on your car making it lighter. With regular paint the light particles are absorbed making it heavier.
OT:Has anyone actually done lap times to see If bigger spoilers improve them?I doubt it but it would be worth a try

Use small spoilers when you can, big ones are a nuisance and they look ugly. Plus, like it was said before, large ones catch onto stuff! Yeah Ive always said this and I do the same with other body mods. The Feltzer is a good example of a car I leave basically stock because its body mods make its ass even fatter.

For some reason, I love the look of huge spoilers on cars. With the exception of that one for the Phoenix which makes it look like a shopping trolley. I hate the shape of the Zentorno without the racing spoiler on, it looks like a giant metal frog.

I'm not with you on the big spoiler love, but I agree with the shopping cart that made me giggle, a lot of the cars in this game are a 10 year olds interpretation of real life cars, I wish rockstar would just change something small like the door shape just to stop car companies claiming copyright on the design. (or at the very least kept key styling features, such as the rear lights on the Elegy, the front grill on the tailgater, the true 2 tone paint scheme on the Adder(like on the veyron, not 2 fugly go faster stripes) I find if you look really closely at all the "high end" cars, they are really quite ugly and poorly thought out, just off the top of my head, look at the front wheel arches on a Z-type and you'll see what I mean.

Not particularly relevant but this seems like the best place to share this...
I remember a discussion in a lobby where someone once said:
"Spoliers are the pubes of cars. They either grow in or they don't"
Despite my big spoiler on my car I did giggle when someone replied:
"So what are you compensating for?"

Why all the hate on the big spoilers? i like them both. use the little ones to make your car steatlhy/nice looking and use the big ones for when you go for a racecar look. simple easy they both perform in the same way so its pure esetically, and it's a personal opinion wheter you like them or not.

I feel a poll coming up: What do you like more? - Big Spoilers - Small Spoilers Lol. Guess if we ask our female members this they'll all be going for the first option. If you know what I mean

Monkeys can carry handbags and be made into handbags. It's a vicious cycle of handbaggery.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Broughy1322 will be addressing all the stats in his YouTube series. He started with Top Speed and it is my understanding that he will proceed down the list of stats. Oh, SPOILER ALERT - Spoilers provide traction.

spoilers dont "provide" traction, they add. The only question is how? is it an added value (base traction + added spoiler value) or is it a percentage ((base traction x percentage spoiler value) if so then the elegy and entity would benifit the most.
