On behalf of the Mod Team I wanted to give an update on some of the changes we are working on during this transition to a more relaxed and open Nonchalant Dominance community. These are broad goals and we are working on the specifics of the changes that will be made to the forums and to the Discord server. We believe these will all be positive improvements to an already great community.
1 - We intend on simplifying the Community Guidelines. Currently they are burdensome and too much information for even the most invested individual to digest. We will keep many of the basic rules intact but things will be simplified greatly. The new rule set will eliminate and relax a lot of the existing rules.
2 - The list of banned words will be largely removed. We realize that the banning of "foul" language was too overbearing and stifled the community. We are discussing what, if any, words will be banned. They would be limited to ethnic/racial slurs because these can be widely seen as incredibly offensive.
3 - Simplify Discord roles and delete a lot of extraneous channels.
4 - Remove arbitrary post goals on the forums for becoming a "verified" member. Allow anyone to view all channels aside from administration areas. We are working on a new system for determining what the new roles will be on the server and how those roles can be attained.
5 - Pardon all previously banned members and allow everyone in/back in with a clean slate.
We hope this sheds some light on the changes that are coming. We wanted all members to know that we are striving to make NoDo a welcoming place to all and to simplify things greatly.
