I will be reviewing the Grotti Itali GTO, the first sports car (proper sports car that is usable in races) as part of the Arena War DLC.
The car is priced at $1.9 million, which I find way too expensive for a sports car. Its priced as high as super cars, even though it isn't as fast as super cars. It's too high for me, and if you're looking for a bargain sports car, I don't recommend this car. I will talk about the handling flags later in the review.
In terms of handling, it gets an 8.5/10. I knocked it down a level due to the handling flags. It has good grip, like the Benefactor Schlagen GT that I reviewed before. It also has the speed to back it up, though because of its bounciness, it gains a lot of speed over bumps and curbs in the city.
In terms of looks, it gets an 9/10. Its a nice looking car, though I'm not a big fan of the front end (when I mean not a big fan, I mean good but not great) Its like the 812 Superfast that its based on in real life, where I like the looks, but don't love it. Customization wise, its really great. You can make this like a racing car with some great liveries, and it has a good selection of spoilers, bumpers, and other accessories. I also love the rear lights, with some cool reverse lights and taillights.
In terms of sound, it gets an 8/10. Its been used on practically most Grotti vehicles. It sounds good, but its been used way too many times. I just got used to it, and expected this to sound like that. Its predictable but not bad.
In terms of acceleration, it gets a 9.7/10. It has amazing acceleration, with some really great launches, matching muscle car wheelie launches and super car launches. It has a great top speed, but the Pariah takes it on a relatively flat track. This drastically changes over bumps, where it can top the Pariah in terms of speed.
For fun factor, it gets a 5/10. This is because the advanced handling flags make this car the most unpredictable and most unstable car I've ever driven in the game. I felt bumps that I thought didn't exist. It's so bouncy in the city that I would recommend everyone to confine this to county races. Even then its bumpy. Its good for drag races on flat tracks, and on flat tracks in general, but it is so awful to drive in the city that it's bad even as a cruiser. If you're running from LSPD units, you will probably crash a lot. It took me a bunch of tries to nail a good lap time, even with stock suspension.
In the end, it gets an 8/10. It is a good car, but the advanced handling flags really tanked the score. It would've been pretty good without it, but with it, I don't recommend this car. The handling flags, and its high price are two reason why I wouldn't buy. But what do you guys think? Post below in the comment section, and if you have time, answer my poll above.
