Okay so everyone who is taking part in the first round (and any subsequent rounds) NEEDS to watch the following video and READ the rest of this post.
^This is how we'll be starting the race. Shaggy will be leading us all around the shorter version of the track and you use the formation lap to get into the correct starting position within your class as shown below. Don't get too crowded coming to the start line! Leave space to get in your position and take it slow.
Pole position for each class is on the left. All cars must be in the centre of either the left or right lane and staggered as seen in the video. The spacing for cars will be determined by the road markings ie. the lines in the the middle of the road. Here's a diagram to explain:
Each car must be lined up with a mark in the middle of the road (front bumper must not be further forward than the start of the line). If shaggy comes and stands in front of your car then you need to move backwards incrementally until he moves away and is happy with your position.
There must be a "2-line" gap between classes. So in the above picture if the green box is the last car in GT1 then the first car in GT2 would line up with the road marking after the two shown (so the first road marking off the bottom of the picture). Everyone in GT2 then filters in as normal and the pattern repeats for GT3.
The sticky bomb to start the race will happen exactly as in the video (minus the poorly placed car). When you see shaggy run up the hill you know the race will be starting soon. We will not be limiting ourselves to the timer for this. The race will start when the sticky bomb goes off which will be at the discretion of shaggy to avoid any bias.
Finally, if you haven't already, read the remaining rules here: bit.ly/MCEC2info. Any reserve drivers must be made aware of this post too, and reserve drivers take the starting position of the driver they're replacing.
Starting positions for the first race are as follows:
GT1
1 ChrisDE22
2 Mace
3 Hizzen
4 vxwk
5 Craig 9876
6 @driftin
7 parksguard
8 Meh RYAN
9 Abe

1 @moostered
2 jsolon7
3 fachuro
4 Broughy1322

3 LancerEvoWRC
4 tylerdurdin4
5 Thell_46

A quick note about disconnections - if someone disconnects during the start phase before we actually get the race started then unfortunately that's just bad luck. We won't be restarting. However if 3 people in a single class or 4 people overall disconnect a red flag will be declared and we'll attempt to start the race again. On the second attempt we'll be going ahead no matter how many people disconnect (unless it's everyone).
Any questions just let me know
