580 MPH.... In a plane Doesn't count! Thread clearly states 'car' speed! Unless you were in a car in that plane, of course...

I've noticed quite a few people have achieved their tops speeds in other peoples cars... They must put a lot of trust in you to drive that fast in their car

Well this one time I managed to go about 2 Mph in this bad boy... Felt like a daredevil because I was in a cycle path. Dangerous stuff.

90mph on a 30mph road in my mum's Almera, but the funny thing is that a smart car (panto) overtook me, which wasn't a very great feeling.

120 miles per hour in a 1988 cougar. Was on the back roads with a friend. Just being dumb and reckless high school style.

I'm going through that stage right now, I went drifting last week in snow and oh boy was that ever eventful I went drifting with my 2001 Suzuki Swift when I just got my license. I was at it on this large (empty) parking lot, but the snow was pretty high. When I came to a stop, I was stuck. With a bit of wiggling and getting fresh snow for some grip to drive backwards into my tracks, I got out fast. But that awkward moment when you notice you're stuck. Hopefully no one has seen you're a rookie! But snow... and cars. But snow!

As someone has never learned to drive, the fastest I have personally ever gone was maybe 5 mph, when a friend asked me help him move the car. In another persons car, they were driving around 100-103 mph.
