This is something i was going to try on PC in the future but thought i could share it if you guys wanted to try on console.
I'm not sure what to call it, Racecraft training, upping your "game/skill", increasing realism, or it could just sort of be an in-crew type of event. The idea is to use (custom) vehicles with armor removed to increase damage you incur when messing up or making car contact, with the goal being to race competitive clean and without contact to other cars. So if you do end up all smashing into things/people your vehicle becomes damaged and has more loss of control and speed/pace. Barring car resets if your car still moves and/or is still drivable and having to take a trip to the pit lane to repair (or make it to the finish line then reset). Just an idea i had, would love your opinions if sounds like it would be fun ^_^.

Sounds like a good idea and fun thing to try, but how would you enforce no armor?

Hadn't really thought of "enforcing" the no armor rule, would have just assumed everyone wanting to participate would remove armor themselves but i see where your going. Guess it would have to be stock cars only then? Using customs with no armor only with friends or private/small lobbies.

Stock is the only easy way to enforce it Myself, I wouldn't be able to tell if someone had no armor, the cheapest, or even 2nd cheapest armor option.

I'd imagine most people would go into something like this with the same end goal of wanting to improve their own abilities - I guess some people might try to sneak in with armour to get a cheeky win, but then that just defeats the purpose of the event for themselves. Personally most of my cars don't even have armour anyways, but I'd be all for a gathering of people all wanting to hone their skills. Sounds fun.

I can only hope for the best to whoever chooses the Elegy when doing this. That thing gets destroyed from the slightest bump with 100% armor xD

I'm not sure what class of car would be best for this type of race, but i was thinking along the lines of muscle or anything mid range speed thats a bit tail happy. So you can work on car control and racecraft at the same time.

Seems like any hits to the front camber at least 1 wheel and fuck the bumper up. Its like with no armour its made of paper mache and with 100% armour its made of tin foil.

I never put armor on my cars, I think it's a big waste of money. Any good racer can win without crashing into anything at all. Furthermore, the idea sounds quite cool to me, even if it's just to make people think twice before they go in for the aggressive overtake.

You need it in gta it isn't even a question of is it worth it.One mistake from someone else can reck you and then your car is deformed with no armor and becomes much slower. And even the very best drivers make mistakes, especially on new tracks so it always is of benefit.
