Here's what I liked and disliked in GTA 4:
What I liked:
-I know everyone's been saying this one, but the storyline is absolutely amazing! From back in 2009-2010 when my older brother started to let me play it, I just followed the storyline and I thought it was amazingly good, the plot, the way it went from a good life for Niko to the worst time of his life (if you don't consider his military background). When I got the DLC's (TLAD and TBOGT) for my b-day, again, the story was awesome, and I really liked how all the 3 "games" connected with each other really well.
-Each character had a really unique personality. Like how Brucie is absolutely nuts, Roman is funny but sometimes dumb, Little Jacob is just a chill gangsta', and so on. Surprisingly, for me, in GTA 5, some of that is a little lacking.
-Like how the guy who made this thread said, that the physics in the game sometimes sucked ass, but it's too awesome for me to dislike it; for example, the car's handling and traction was really bad, but I strangely still really like it.
-Having girlfriends in story mode and stuff. I know Michael has a wife, but why can't we get one for lonely Trevor and Franklin?
-Being drunk, it's so fucking funny! "YELLOW CAR"
-Crouching, just amazing how such a small maneuver can really help in gunfights. Also, just to troll people in Online, to t-bag them after you kill them lol. Sneaking is useless in GTA Online.
-Fun multiplayer gamemodes. Mafiya Work, Car Jack City, Cops and Crooks, even GTA Races! So damn fun, I can see why Rockstar didn't add some of these gamemodes as it didn't work with the theme of GTA 5. I just wanna talk about GTA Races in this game; it's not annoying, but funny when you die, because there aren't any OP sticky bombs and proximity mines laying down just to annoy the living shit out of you. Also, most Rockstar created race tracks are A LOT better than the ones in GTA Online.
-Radio Stations... For GTA 5, on last gen at least, all the songs are so repetitive. In the first month of that game, I found myself turning the radio off, something I NEVER do in GTA 4, cuz the songs in GTA 5 suck so much ass, and they are repetitive.
-I liked Freemode A LOT in GTA 4, how you can have crazy gunbattles (most of the time) with AK's and the MP5K, just respawning and shooting the living shit out of others, it's so fun.
-Cops aren't fucking annoying in GTA 4. GTA 5, I shouldn't even have to fucking explain why cops in that game suck.
-Interiors, none are present for the player to go into in GTA 5.
-Why isn't there any nitrous in GTA 5? The KERS bullshit boost isn't even helpful, as you have to brake to use it, and knowing NoDo and how bikes have amazing traction, no brakes bruh, which means no KERS :/
-Option to turn cops, traffic, etc in Freemode...
-I really don't like how in GTA Online, no one is usually in the same spot in the map. Everyone's spread out, something that you can fix in GTA 4, putting the set area to Airport. It's just so fun!
-I liked the activities, and how you can invite your friends to them. You can't really do that in GTA 5
-I liked the unique vehicles they had, like the unique colors for Stevie, Playboy's yellow Hummer, Cadillac Escalade blacked out with black wheels, Gracie's pink Feltzer, lustered colors from TBOGT, so on. I also like the rare vehicles, like Roman's Taxi, a Hearse, Regina from TLAD, Slamvan from TLAD and TBOGT, Hexer was really rare in TBOGT, Stretch E, so on.
-The rarer variants of cars, like the Futo GT, Contender Sport, Oracle XS, VIP Intruder, VIP Feroci, Infernus GT, Turismo GT, and so on. I don't see why they removed that from GTA 5, possibly for Los Santos Customs, but some of the upgrades from the cars I mentioned aren't even there to customize.
What I disliked:
-Even though I stated above that I like the traction in GTA 4, I also hate it for obvious reasons.
-The glitches and wallbreaches, so many people do this is gamemodes and even Freemode, it starts to get really annoying after a while of playing.
-THE FUCKING MODDERS! I hate these pricks who spawn indestructible vehicles, use godmode and invisibility, spawns things that freezes your Xbox or PS3. They can also be little douches by killing you with explosives instantly when you spawn, and it never stops until they decide to. It's so damn hard trying to find a lobby with no modders at all, and now this plague is even going into GTA 5.
-I mentioned that I like the activities in GTA 4, but I also hate that your friends call you over and over again (in story mode obviously) and when you decline, they lose likeness and respect for you.
-Actually, sometimes when you have a wanted level, and the cops are running after you with shotty's, they can kill you from a really far range and pack a fucking punch! Sometimes it's really annoying.
-Achieving 100%... The only thing I STILL have to do is kill all of the flying rats. I'm only 1/4 of the way through, I killed the 49th flying rat, went to save, I played a day later, and when I killed the 50th one, it said 151 flying rats left in Liberty City. I'm not looking through 30 minutes of footage for that, and spend even more time getting to the places where I may have missed one.
-The map is a little small, and Rockstar even stated that they were going to name the area "Liberty State", and there would be mountains like the Catskill ranges and stuff like that on the outside, and they scrapped that idea and focused on the city itself. They delayed GTA 5 for a better experience, but not for GTA 4. Adding to this, they even also stated that there were going to be flyable planes, but they said the map was too small for that, and they could've had that if they had the outside areas for the map.
My summary:
It seems like I'm giving a little too much flack on GTA 5, but I absolutely love that game! GTA 4 I think though, was my favorite GTA, basically having a tie with GTA Vice City. GTA 5 and Online would be right behind those two, along with GTA San Andreas.
