Hey guys Today we were racing with people from the crew and the host forgot to change the slipstream and catchup settings. I thought it'd be a horrible race but it ended up with all of us in a big pack for the while 17 miles around the island. I'll show the video under here, I hope this is allowed. Here is the screenshot of the results, wich is Insane I think.

^^^Me and Dewdle had a .001 finish in Ingots the other day after over 12 minutes racing increasingly competitively (Was fooling around at the start, then we started battling harder as the race progressed)

This happened to me once on Long Haul 2. I won by 0.001 too. That kind of finish gets your heart pounding. Another cool incident like this was when me and haydugjr had our best laptimes with 0.001s after doing 60 laps on Didiersachsenring in the first round of SAMSA. Hah, the good old days. fachuro How did you not win there? You were clearly ahead at the finish line. Stupid circle checkpoints. Seems to me like doodle was closer to its centre, and that's what made the difference.

Could be a bit of server lagg, who knows We were literally side by side at the point it registered though, but the screen doesn't change until a moment later and by that time my car was ahead. I first noticed this when I was trying to edit some hotlap vids a way back, that the checkpoint usually registers a little bit before the corona disappears. You can see the arrow turn white just at the moment it registers, or in this case the finishline.

Not as rare as I thought then Does get your heart pounding, I realy thought I wouldn't make it since we both had the same idea to stay in second until the end and then he got away from me unexpected. But slipstream OP. Things like the finish between Fachuro and Doodle reminds you this isn't a proper racing game. Although the driving is a lot of fun and feels rewarding. It could be a whole lot better. But GTA isn't a racing game, I really do hope they listen to this community and bring out a racing DLC or update (I'd love a GT version of the Vacca) But they probably won't change the checkpoint system. It'd be funny if they did release a Racing update around the time Project Cars came out and we all moved on to that and never looked back
