This is a track I had in mind since the very first day I started playing gtaV! rsg.ms/8fa8191This is obviously inspired by the famous Dakar rally. Is a very long (30km in 30') rally raid track: it sets off in Sandys Airfield straight through the Zancudo swamp and the beach at Cushmash, before climbing and descending mount Joshia. The central section is set along Raton Canyon and mixes the fast dirt roads of the south side (eastward) with some technical uphill driving on the north side (westward). The final part goes through the dunes of the Sonora before starting the tecnical prt in the querry that closes the track. Checkpoints are sometimes very far as to recreate the dynamic of a marathon stage, where drivers and bikers have to compete without meccanical assistance. So is not just about keeping the wheels on the road as usual, but also not to get lost and find the right strategy to get through the natural obstacle of the map, keeping an eye not to get the vehicle wasted on certain sections. I created this because I'm a dreamer My dream is to see 16 drivers going up and down this track all together on: bikes, quads, cars, buggys, trucks, vans and whatever else can handle this, for a 3 laps endurance rally race.. how multiclass would that be? Please send me a feedback if you like this kind of race, or if you have some suggestions for the improvement of my track. Let me know if any of you guys would be interested in a event of that kind on old gen.

I am going to create the official event only when I got 8 entry (..and with yours we're half the way now) and it will take place only if at least 12 competitors sign in. So spread the word, tell to anybody who could be interested in it, maybe also from other crews. This is going to be unique apart of a lot of fun!!

I can give you constructive criticism when I try out the track, probably tomorrow.

Leave a preference on the poll I've added,
just to be able to keep the count in a more intuitive way.

The track looks very unique and appealing! I can't wait to try it out! I'll get back to you as soon as possible once I have completed 4 laps around this track. I'll give you a rating out of 10 as well as a small summary stating the ups and downs of the track.

The track is pretty good but there are a couple concerns.
1) The part where you climb Mount Josiah is just too narrow for a race and people are bound to fall off if someone doesn't let them have space, which I doubt people will do.
2.) There's a part where you are supposed to go through water in Grapeseed, and in my stock Rebel, it just would not make it. The water is too deep.. I thought the Rebel was the ideal car for this Dakar event. Correct me if I'm wrong.

thanks for the feedback!
1) I know that the climbing part is narrow, I did it on porpose: this race is not ment to be hotlapped; it's suitable for a more conservative and strategic driving style; that part it's supposed to slow you and make you drive carefully or even get stucked behind another vehicle, or fall off the mount, stuff like that happens in the real dakar.. but keep in mind that the track is made to host a multiclass event with sanchezs, quads, buggys, trucks.. and how to forget the tornado right? so the idea was to perform a divided start: first all bikes (in line) then quads (in line) then the cars (one every 15-20 secs) and then the trucks; just as in the real dakar so you'll have a clean first lap with the fastest vehicle as "sentinel" having free road ahead. The event should be made of 3 laps. In the second lap you might meet traffic, then you have to choose strategicly when and where to pass. Also the finish should be performed in a controlled way, which will be meant to avoid a dnf for the trucks (duneloader and paradise). I'll take this argument back when the event will turn into reality.
Vote the poll if you didn't!! I need few more people to create the official event and 12 entryes to perform it
2) fording in grapeseed; man really.. that's a shame for the rebel, which I love, but it's so under expectation for beeing inspired by the Hilux... I'll tell you I've beeing testing the track in the creator only with the sanchez because I thought "if it could do it then any car can". So the rebel should be able to get that check point, you only have to keep tight on the left I guess

I raced this with a few of you yesterday after the Kuruma event, and it was painfully obvious I was woefully unprepared. That said, it was a good time. It got to the point where I was just trying to make sure I didn't lose to mid in his Duneloader. The length of the track combined with the geographic variety really made it a challenge. I'm not particularly good at off road events, but that was a good time.
