Hello everyone! I have exposed a lovely concept of racing, mixing 'messing around' with competative racing.
Track background
You might know me, you might not. But you have never driven a track made by me. This should change.
I generally don't know how to make a proper track, but a while ago I saw a little ray of light. This illuminated a part of the map in East Vinewood. This part was not suited for fast cars. Not even for slow cars. But that did not bother me. I'm a hipster at heart, so making something different was bound to happen anyway. The track had to be made for really, really slow vehicles.
The track title implies the type of vehicle used for this race. You are right, it's an Airtug.
Now, one might think of the North Loop driven in a vehicle such as this. Boring, slow, time consuming. I felt this had to change. So here it is. Tugga Circuit. A track designed especially for Aitrugs. Fitting 30 players on the starting grid, I've tried to make the track wide enough to hold this many players. Yet it is more suitable for a smaller amount.
Route description
The full track is situated in the sports & leisure park in East Vinewood/Mirror Park. (Nearly) All paths there are used to make the layout and every single available prop is put to good use. The track length is 0.69 miles (oh yeah, best number!) which makes for a rough 2 minute lap time.
Starting on the football field, you soon take a left downhill towards the parking area of the resort. After moving through that section, you take a right down a real street, only to move back up the parking area a second time. This go you take a slightly different route through it, but share a downhill part with the first time through that section.
This time you will not go down the street, though, but up. This leads into a series of bends around a fountain and some trees. You will move towards the playground with a long left turn, only to avoid hitting the playsets by taking a right.
Now you're moving on to the upper parking lot, where some rebel students have dumped a lot of hay. Go around this and move along the skate park. Do some stunts if you like!
Once you've passed the skate park, you will find yourself on a dangerously tight straight leading up to the final set of turns. Be sure not to fall off!
After this straight a 90 degree left turn steers you towards the final Z combination, where every student can take a seat and watch the amazing battle 'o tugs with a large can of beer.
Final word
Right now, Social Club is not properly working for me. Therefore I cannot add a screenshot of the layout. I guess you'll just have to give this track a spin to feel the lovely slow-flow this Airtug can give you. Relax, laugh all the way when battling (trust me, you will), but keep the technical and competitive touch of the community.
This track works very good in first person mode as well, as you can see on my showcase lap.
