The Los Santos County Hill Climb is my second race. It's inspired more or less by those competitions like the EHCC or the notorious Pikes Peak HC. The concept behind this race is to join all the best uphill in the area in a spiral shaped track. A design solution I've found, that better suited the original idea, was to cover some sections of the west side of the area in both directions. In fact, even if the hills might seem a maze, they're only the same 15 roads around. The east side uses in the opposite direction the same roads featured in Broughy1322 's North Loop, except the Tongva Drive which is too fast and straight for the concept race I had in mind. The starting grid is in Vinewood, then goes up to the Marlowe Drive, all through the hills to the Buen Vino Road. In the Tongva Valley it takes the Marlowe again, which represents the spine of the track, to reach the Bayfree Canyoon Road, straight to the Sonora Road and the 68. These two are the longest flat level straight line sections of the track. Another long uphill in the Grande Zancudo Valley followed by the final spiral section around the Observatory and the Vinewood hill. There are not so many props, actually there's none. I wanted to allow any possible racing line by keeping in the same time the natural obstacles on the ground, like the cliffs on the outside of a downhill turn. There is no barrier to contain a huge mistake but in the same time, no artificial obstacles to close cutting and mybe more risky lines. This allows the race to be interpreted in different ways: - like a random Point to Point: even if contact is on, there is enough space to overtake. Without any doubt the most exiting mode for experiencing this race - like a Rally: by using only Sultans or Kurumas, first person or rally mode; - like a Hill Climb or a Time Trial: by using the fastest vehicles and no contact, so everybody can keep its fastest pace; - like an illegal race: traffic and wanted level on, night time, random weather, stock cars;

I've added it to my game. I'll see if I can get to trying it tonight

I tried it today, but it wasn't what I was expecting. Not that that's your fault, but I thought it would be more offroad hillclimbing/rockcrawling style. Therefore my choice of trying it with the Blazer wasn't the best one.
What did annoy me a bit in terms of the design was the CP placement. Some of them were after the corner, instead of in the corner. This kinda took the intuitive aspect away. And some of them were aimed slightly in the wrong direction e.g. not following the road. This made me think there was a sharp turn coming up, when there wasn't. Well, the turn was coming, but later on, so those CP's needed to be placed a little later. Hope this makes any sense. (didn't take notes on which CP's exactly, sorry)
I'll give it another shot one of these days in a faster car, probably that will change the overall feel of the track too.
Final report: 7/10. Concept is nice, but needs some work left and right.
(obviously this is only my view of it)

What did annoy me a bit in terms of the design was the CP placement. For the rock crawling you should check the San Andreas Rally Raid which is still an unripe project that I've left a little bit aside to concentrate on the Dakar Rally track and the publishing of the official event. Apart from that, yea I think I got it: The CP aiming is because I've used all 68 and some corners are occupied by other previous or next CPs.. I was aware of that, and I think that the only way to avoid this is to reduce the course, replace the start grid on the north to the 66 to be able to have the same roads covered no more then twice. Thanks for the feedback I really apreciate that

Imho wouldn't be a very big problem to make it a little shorter, with less repetition. It took me almost 18 minutes to finish. Granted I used a slow vehicle, but still. I got the feeling at some point I passed it 3 times allready, which was a bit weird in a point to point. I don't know how it looks in creator ofcourse, so didn't know there were multiple CP's on 1 junction. If you make a revised version let me know. I'm happy to test for you on slower days. Gives me something usefull to do

Alex_Drastisch , man you have some great ideas of tracks I like that. I like to see you organize a rally event with rally mode on these tracks some time in future I got the track as well. Keep up the good work bro

Rally mode would indeed make it interesting. Too bad I suck at it with my crappy headset, but I would give it a go at least for shits and giggles
