I like to rely on defending my position, because it's what I do best, but people just call me slow D:

I don't consider myself To Be slow, Just slower... I feel like My defending is quite good, but most of My overtakes depend on a driver error from the driver in front of me. And when i overtake a faster driver they usually get It back because i make quite a few mistakes. What i am trying To say is that as the better driver You Will most likely Always end up on top, so don't do stupid things and be patient (i am such a hypocrite)

This is a reall issue with some racers if you ask me. Back when I needed to practise my Kuruma driving, I practised with NoDo's.. What happend multiple times was that I breaked for a corner, and the guy behind me didn't. Obviously the Kurumas brakes are horrible so breaking really early is required. Anyway he didn't break to late, he didn't break at all. What ofcourse resulted in my flying off the track. Same douchebag managed it twice in one race withrout waiting. I remember shouting in my mic "thanks for the takeout man!.. Jezus you don't even wait.." I know this isn't a thread to complain about people, but not always difference in cars couse this problem. I used break way to early a lot, and people thought pushing me from behind was a valid reason. I lost time going through the corner because of it. But since it was my bad i braked to early, at least that's how they think I guess, since they never wait. IMO people make to much problems with not addapting your brakes. Like Harry said, please, if you read this, be more patient.

A lot of good points have been made already, but I have to think ChrisDE22 put it best. That said, having a rapport with other racers can definitely help alleviate this sort of thing. Being familiar with fellow racers' tendencies can definitely help with strategy. Though building that rapport can take time.
