In The Netherlands on 4 and 5 May we do 2 things. On the 4th of May we Dutch people like to keep a memorial for the people that died in WOII, now this is a big thing for me, because my grandfather died in it. His name is even on a statue. I even got to lay a wreath with the Mayor of our town. And I think I get to do it again this jear. On the 5th of may, we celebrate ''bevrijdingsdag''. The day that we have been liberated from the Germans. On that day we play games, we once again honor the fallen ones and we eat 'haring' (a fish) I thought this might be interesting for the people that aren't Dutch.

What's really interesting, is that we Dutchies probably have the most national holidays of all countries. Take that, labour day!
